Book 4: Balance airs October 3rd. Yay!

Welp, they're definitely painting Ms. Great Uniter in a villainous light, but really, save for the questionable action of "swear your fealty to ME" rather than to the new Earth Kingdom, she's not being unreasonable.

I think outright refusing to lend aid to anyone unless they swear loyalty to you is something I could categorize as an act of evil.

In this case, most likely, but you have to also consider that armies (or any large group of people) require resources, and unless someone is allied with you, you have no guarantee of those resources. So it kind of makes sense for the soldiers to not be stationed there unless Kuviera's army gets something in return.

If Toph doesn't give an appropriate level of sass to her daughters I will be sorely disappointed.

Kuviera seems pretty antagonist-y but I'm hoping they turn that around, because really nothing she's done is particularly evil or even worse than "could have handled that nicer".

Not to mention she has Bolin working for her pretty far up the ladder it seems. He wouldn't be doing things if he didn't think they were ultimately beneficial.

I'm wondering who will be the antagonist this season. Will it just be evil, spirity, Avatar State Korra? Someone not yet introduced? Or Kuvira? I feel like she might be fake evil or there are things going on behind the scenes.

Evil!Korra seems to be like, an actual thing. Korra's issues with her seem much worse than just hallucinations. At the same time though, it could just be that she's trying to guide Korra. Everything Evil!Korra has done seems to have been to drive Korra to Toph, so maybe it's Raava or something trying to reach out to her however they can.
Honestly it's probably either Kuviera or someone we haven't seen yet.

What if there's a plot twist that Kuvira is overthrowing the the Earth Kingdom's king (he does seem like a push over) or is the actual mastermind behind royal affairs, or is an underground member of the Red Lotus with a huge long term master plot that kinda contradicts what her intentions are.

None of that is probably true, but it's kinda funny to think of.

My first speculation was surprisingly spot on.

I'm starting to see some unfortunate similarities of Kuvira to Hitler.

I mean, rising up to power while a country is weak with the promise to fix everything, attempting to forcefully assimilate other places, a powerful speaker, "reeducation camps", and now taking people who are not of Earth Kingdom origin to those camps. I'm hoping I'm just crazy and these aren't actually similarities.

Korrasami is heavily implied to be canon. Now we just need a final push and have them make out.

In other news; I am heavily hoping we get to see Toph destroy some Uniter forces.
