I see. Apparently I was mistaken, then, so thank you for clarifying. Sorry if I sound irrational about this topic, it just REALLY pushes my buttons. I couldn't care less about porn or Rule 34, but that's just too much for me. I don't even like saying it.

Well, there has to be a reason why the loli/shota has their clothes off. Like, it has to be part of a story of something. If you just have a bunch of depictions of cartoon kids having sex for the sake of having sex, then they'll probably arrest you. They'll probably arrest you regardless of the story of the fact that she's 1000-years-old, and it'll look bad on your arrest record.

No, no, nothing like that is necessary. It's all legal.

What? I didn't know of an "obscene speech" clause in the First Amendment.

Barabba's right. After some research, I can confirm that even cartoon depictions of child pornography are illegal if it fails to meet that criteria. So that makes me wonder why Shadman's disgusting site is still around and active.

As much as I agree with the 2 last clauses, the first one seems iffy. What is the "average person"? It leaves too much room for error. What if the "average person" suddenly finds that a man simply talking to a woman constitutes rape? How is something like that protected?

Maybe they survey people on what is acceptable?

Who is the Shadman anyway? I tried looking it up, but didn't venture far in order to keep my remaining sanity. Not much information was provided in what I did find though.

"Great artist/animator who wastes his talents making fetish art" is pretty much all you need to know. If you're looking for an identity you're outta luck.

People who draw porn tend to be pretty secretive. I'd imagine some are embarrassed, but a few actually cultivate an enigmatic persona around themselves, hell just look at Zone.

Uh well, is Shadman even American? Even if he is, his site might not be hosted on US servers and if his identity isn't public it wouldn't be trivial to lock him down. That's not to say the FBI or whatever couldn't, but he's pretty small fry to go after.

It's hard to get a steady, well-paying job in art/animation. The big cheddar is in three things: drawing weird fetish porn, drawing upstanding member of society porn, and a mix of the two. I wouldn't be surprised if most artists in those categories hate the things they create.

Yeah man, you can make some pretty good cheddar from porn. And shadman is pretty mediocre, even for an internet artist. I don't think he'd have much of a career outside of porn.
