Well, skype is perfect for that kind of things (and by that kind of things I mean waffles) (and by waffles I mean "long-distance relationship"). I'd also recommend plan right now on when you'll get to see each other again, so you'll have something to look forward to (it helps a lot).

You can still do date stuff long distance. If you're not into gaming for instance, you can both download the same movie and start it at the same time to watch it together

Well, we are both into gaming. I just played Smash Bros with her a couple days ago and we are hilariously bad at it. Although it's really funny how annoyed she gets when I play Palutena and she plays Sonic and I just sit there and counter everything she does.

The only thing distance changes is touching. Even body language is negated these days by video calls.

Oh, yeah, I don't mean to say that I'm worried or anything. It seems like it'll work out.

After talking for a while, it looks like we've both been dropping a lot of hints and we're both completely oblivious and/or second-guess ourselves. She's super excited to find out that I like her and that's such a weird and amazing feeling.

Aww you're not being annoying (at least to me), Marcato! I'm really really pop flyin' for you! But yes! Just like Dire says, enjoy each other's company whenever you can. Maybe make time for each other, dress up for dates, and play video games together.

Don't worry Marcato, it's a lot more cute than annoying, and I'm pretty sure it cheers a lot of people up.

As for me I finally tried a dating site a while ago, just to see, and there was no result (I had one response from a 40 years old guy), and I was going to close my account.
And then this girl shows up, I send her a message and she answers, and we talk a lot together. Turns out she's really interesting, as well as funny and cute, and she seems interested in the same kind of relationship as me. Nothing is done yet, but she seems to appreciate me a lot, we spend four hours yesterday just talking together and I enjoyed it a lot. She doesn't live in my city but in the closest one (I've got like 1h30 of train to get there).
Now I'm just afraid I'll screw up before we meet each other, because I have no idea how talking to a person you met on a dating site works. Are you supposed to pretend you're not talking to the other because you're interested ? About how long after you've begun talking can you propose you meet ? I don't know those things, and many, many more. Makes me afraid I'll screw up.
