niiiiice! How hard is it to get the really subtle texture on the outside of the pumpkin?

Depends. Bump maps can help but they need to be used well or they look terrible. Sometimes they work sometimes they don't. For this I just took the texture I used for the pumpkin's color (which was colored paper) and played with the levels in photoshop until I got it to look how I wanted.

This is really cute, are you going to color it?

I probably could, I didn't intend to since it's a panel in a black and white comic. But it does work on it's own.

It's so cool looking back at your finished project and your sketch.

I find my process usually involves liking it and being proud of my progress until I'm about 80% done, then I hate it for ages before feeling guilty and finishing it or eventually being pop flyin' with myself again.

Dropbox wont let me see those.

Texture worked out great, especially the little variations here and there. I don't think I'm entirely convinced by the glow inside, but I'm not sure what I'd suggest so ignore me.

@ piks: Everyone has to start somewhere.

Thanks for the heads up.

I know it's something I need to work on, but I hate lighting with a flaming passion. Also it took way too long to get the MEL script to work for the flicker even after I looked up a code for it so I just kinda ran with it once I got it to work even a little bit.

Made on Art Academy: Lesson for Everyone some years ago :3

For those who are wondering, MissingEon was my persona until it changed to Meowdoleon. MissingEon come from my "theory" that MissingNo was in fact a dropped down Eeveelution.

Meowdoleon is ???/Ghost type.

Been slacking off at the Inktobers. But made an effort tonight.

@Riku: I gave those two pieces a listen, they sound great. Although I don't know if it's intentional but Shadow is a lot quieter than Senka. Like I had to turn my volume up a lot to hear it.
I really liked the feel of Senka, it felt like Kajiura Yuki's theme for BT (Hack/Sign soundtrack). Simpler, kinda melancholy but less lonely?

Oh, dammit, I forgot to amplify that one. The program that I use to write down/playback the music always exports super quietly, so I usually run it through Audacity for the sake of volume. I mean, it is supposed to be quiet, but not THAT quiet.

And thanks! I do love me some Kajiura Yuki, so she's probably had an influence on my music imagination.

That just made me realise how little of Stephen King's stuff I actually know.

I'm already in a mood for Christmas myself.

Do Miiverse drawing posts (and their accompanying screenshots) count as art, or would they go under Gameplay vids & Screenshots?

Also, I hate dis thread ;_; it's making me spill jelly everywhere.
Stop being good at artsing, guys, srsly.

Yo, this is fantastic. I'm surprised you did the Library Police, that's pretty obscure as far as Stephen King goes.

Edit:
It also occurs to me that I've never posted my other pokemon art. Pictures are 2000x2000. Not huge file wise, but just a warning.
