I think he was trying to say that being underweight is also unhealthy for people. You can see one of the cosplayer's ribs sticking out when he's just raising his arm and that's a little concerning.

If he was then he could have phrased it another way.

They are incredibly thin though. I see hip bones and that's really not healthy or normal at all.

and also some people apply makeup to make their hip bones more defined and the pose plays a big factor in it too and thanks for all just proving my point that no one is ever pop flyin' unless they are policing someone else's appearance.

Why would they need to suck in their guts to pose in costumes

I'm 110 pounds, and even I have enough of a gut to hide my ribs, Cori, I know what I'm talking about when I say they look too thin

I'm policing nothing. I'm pointing out how when I can see the area around the hip curve inward at such a sharp degree it does not look healthy to me.

I'm 6'5" and 230 lbs. I can make my hip bones and ribs visible too if I wanted, but there's a different between visible and being able to see the outline of each curve and bump in the hipbone clearly.

Going back on topic is one thing but that is another

1. You have no idea how makeup works if you can't even make a guess about how it could be used to define hip bones (or other parts of the body). It's called the shadowing technique. People can use it on their face, and they can use it on their body. It tricks the eye into thinking a person's face or body is a different shape.

2. It's polished and edited photoshoot. Photoshop is a thing that exists and is often used after a photoshoot too.

Don't be a nincompoop.

Why the fuck would they want to make it look like their ribs show, just photoshopping the body thinner would be easier

And yes Photoshop is a thing but it's no longer cosplay at that point, it's modeling in costume
