Relationships in video games often make me feel awkward. Case and point: Lloyd and Collette.

I don't think Lloyd and Collette was so bad, it fit. I don't care much for game relationships, personally, unless it fits.
i think the Emil/Marta relationship of the second game was better done.

Especially since it had a real focus.

Colette/Lloyd really just seemed annoying hinted at, without ever actually.. doing anything.

Emil and Marta share a real facebattle, and then
have to deal with being separated for the rest of their lives. And if you get the bad ending, they pull a romeo and juliet. Emil thinks he's killed Marta, so he kills himself, then it's hinted after the credits that she killed herself too.

But the good ending, they find a way to get back together again and it's cute.
Because unlike Colette and Lloyd, they're not too PUSSY enough to say "I LOVE YOU, NOW facebattle ME YOU FOOL."

I mean bodaciously, there's a bug at one point where you simply can't advance because the second player keeps dying uncontrollably!

Ever play Golden Axe?

This isn't so much 'video games' as it is 'Metal Gear Solid 4'.

I just started a new save earlier today, and was reminded of THOSE FUCKING RETARDED TV SHOWS THAT IT FORCES YOU TO WATCH FOR ABOUT TEN MINUTES

Sure I could go do something else while it twitters away, but godammit, I came here to play this game LET ME PLAY IT. Not to mention how weird it was. Which I wouldn't normally mind, but this was manditory!

So, to sum up that rant, I dislike unskippable movie scenes, ecspecially after multiple playthroughs.

MGS4 is basically like an interactive movie.

I bet that Kojima could probably get away with realeasing one MASSIVE Quicktime-event and calling it a game.

Wait, "The end" as in endings, or "The End" as in the old sniper who was a boss in MGS3?

*twitch* That made me remember The End from Epic War... Why did I play that horrible game, I don't know... But dear god...

*weeps* Talk about your false difficulty bosses. I'm positive he was impossible without using the secret cheat code Archangel unit... Mainly because he completely cheated and only like, 3 units in the game could even damage him, and he twoshotted anything besides the Archangel

Are you sure people actually enjoy that? Because it seems pretty far-fetched to me.

I never play games on easy difficulty to begin with.

What is enjoyable about going through a game where the only way you can die is if you walk away from the game for 5 minutes for the enemies to finally kill you?

Why would ANYONE enjoy playing on Easy, I don't know... but it's there for the Kindergartners.

Except the reason people call MGS an interactive movie is because of all the cutscenes. Not because of how the gameplay is.

I play games on easy, usually, because I kinda suck at videogames and I like to get the hang of things first.

Then I either replay at a higher difficulty or switch midway through.

Ohhh, you know how in Yoshi Story you couldn't skip the sequences?

...Well, not being able to skip sequences overall I guess. But in Yoshi Story it was just... GRAH! HATE! SMASH!

Um, that was meant to be a witticism, but it obviosly backfired.
I was trying to say that many people find the movie sequences so enjoyable (some people I know actually only bought the game for them) that he could ship a quicktime-event movie no-prob.

But yeah, I'm an idiot.

I always play fighting games on easy since it means I can unlock all the characters faster. after that I usually put it up to whatever comes between normal and hard.

FFF At the end of Okami, there's a save point in the area where the final boss is. So, I saved there, beat the game, and just now found out that I can't go back. They could have at least given me some warning.
I remember in the begining they said save seperate files becuase you may become stuck. I believe that is what they meant.
