I didn't think of that. I guess I didn't do too terribly though. It was still 10-16 at the end. I've seen matches end worse. I wasn't the only new player either so that didn't help.

I got bored yesterday and tried competitive again yesterday. I actually did pretty good and got my first competitive win. Then I stayed up all night until I reached silver 2, which took like 15 matches (lost ~5). I went positive nearly every round and was usually 2nd or 3rd on my team, so I think I'm getting to be ok at this game. I hate Cobblestone though. It seems way too T sided for me.

how did you only get silver 2? i lost 6, won 10, and got silver 4. this ranking system is so weird.

Well apparently, the amount of rank points you get per match are based off how many rounds you win in a match, so you must have won more rounds within your 10 wins than I did.

I've never seen a single person hacking it.

That's because you're in Silver 2.

I've played with some more notable players and have seen many people cry hax, but have only seen actual, obvious hacking (as in speedhacking, Negev sniping, etc) once or twice. Some people are just extremely good to the point where on some high days, the map timings and enemy team patterns are so burned into your mind you can just start firing before you even round a corner and know you will hit someone.

Hell I've been called a hacker before as a Silver 3, so sorry if I'm skeptical.

I keep buying guns for the this game even though I don't even own the game.

I got my first Ace yesterday! It put us five rounds ahead and caused two people on the other team to quit haha. Not sure if that means I'm getting better or if the other team was just terrible. Probably the other team.

So, those Vanguard missions are out. Time to play a lot more counterstrike

This ranking system still makes no sense to me. I'm somehow still a Silver 2 even though I've got 55 wins and usually am first or second on the leaderboards in each match.

DreamHack is on national television right now, which I think is cool. I only caught a glimpse of it though, I don't actually play the game myself. It's also possible to bet on CSGO via the national betting agency, although I think that's only when our team is playing.

Yea. LDLC won. It was a really close match though.
