I actually just now realized my comic edit was deleted. Lame?

I didn't really think I'd have an edit removed that was just a punch line from another webcomic. I mean, it's from Dumbing of Age, not Oglaf (though Oglaf is funny). What the fuck? If it can be in an actual Hiveworks comic why can't it be in a forum post on Awkward Zombie?

Also... I'm pretty sure dildos are basically just inherently hilarious? They're plastic sculptures of dongs, that's hilarious! Someone thinking that one is a magic wand is automatic comedy. Some of y'all would make great sunday school teachers but probably shouldn't be hanging out in public forums where you might encounter such crass behavior as potty humor and dick jokes.

Whatever. You don't have to think it's funny. I don't appreciate having a post that I spent an hour on deleted though just because one person in a bad mood doesn't think dick jokes are funny.

It was quite a few more than just one; my editing of your post was in response to all of the complaints I had received, since I don't really give a shit about the comic edits. In fact, I had actually held off on removing it because it TECHNICALLY wasn't breaking any rules. And the joke was suitable in the context of the original comic that you took it from, but really not all that great for this forum.

It's not the general concept of "potty humor" and dick jokes that offended the people who complained (You've seen the rest of the forum, right?), it was the very specific way it was implemented in this particular case (which I said right in my original edit) that people found to go too far, and into "creepy" territory, which is apparently a common problem with you (? Like I said, I generally don't bother reading the edits).

I'm not going to say that you can't find something funny. That would be stupid. But even on a public forum, discretion is still advised on how you redistribute what you find funny. For example: constantly hitting up the theme of possible pedophilia is probably not the way to go in most cases.

I like to think that Lockez is basically Ringabel if he was a stripper.

I'm pretty sure most people still enjoy your edits, Lockez, but sometimes yeah you can go a bit off the deep end.

(different game from the one in the comic but I'm playing way too much Bravely Default ok)

You just made a good edit that didn't involve a dragon disguised as a prepubescent girl

And it was just for your opinion on coffee

Maybe it's time to dial back those "obligatory" edits and go for something more original

I know it happens with trying to drink a gallon of milk all at once, never see any RPG characters have adverse reactions to foods/drink. Still can't figure how my Skyrim character can eat what's out there lying around , sitting in barrels for god knows how long...

I vominate this for best edit of the thread.
I mean nominate.

Welcome to the forums... "Shrug"?

I think a good edit idea would be having the kid throw the coffees instead of fireballs.

And have him be on fire because he drank the fireballs.

Holy shit I need to do that except I have no way to edit Images or even any experience with it.

LockeZ's tutorial on image editing:

1) Buy Photoshop
2) Learn how layers work
3) Come up with a clever comic edit idea that involves taking a character from an older comic
4) Abandon that one in favor of an idea where the older comic has the character on a solid colored background
5) Use the color select tool (aka magic wand tool) to select the background color, with anti-aliasing turned on and tolerance set to probably about 10 or 20 or so
6) Press the big fat delete key on your keyboard
7) Now you have a cutout of the character on a tranparent background
8) Cuntpaste it into this weeks comic
9) Time to change the text, what font is this? People keep telling me it's Wingdings or Papyrus but I think they are not telling the truth
10) Searching old forum posts for the question suggests it's probably Helvetica Neue
11) Get Helvetica Neue
12) This text still doesn't match, just delete all the old text and rewrite it I guess

Helvetica Neue Condensed Bold.

Someone deleted the steps that were jokes about "obtaining" Photoshop!

Guys, don't steal Photoshop, for reals. I got it from my old job at an art consulting firm. The old version is free, you can rent the new one for $20 a month, and you can get a very similar program called Gimp for free also. You don't actually have to pay $600 for the full version of Photoshop CS6.

On a partially unrelated note I love how everybody talks about how Nowi is creepy meanwhile I'm sitting here thanking the lord Katie has played/made a comic about Guilty Gear's Dizzy

Seems accurate.

For me, caffiene makes me jittery for ~20 minutes before making me tired.

Petah, I've been meaning to ask...
Do you look through the archives for edit inspiration or do the ideas just come to you like that?
