It's a racial slur, like ch*nk for a chinese person or g*psy for a Rroma.

Guys just

It's a racial slur, yeah. It doesn't matter what the context was really and all you have to do is say "whoops sorry my bad" and change it.

Not really a matter of what language he used or if he was attempting to offend (which I'm sure he wasn't obviously) but there's no point in defending the fact that he used the word. There it is, I' editing it, whatever move on.

I apologize if I have offended anyone in my use of that word. It was only meant to be used as a shortened form of "Japanese". Perhaps I should've used "JP" instead. I never got the chance to apologize and correct it earlier because I was offline. But now it's over and done with, so I'd like to move on.

Back on topic, I've heard there have been some serious shenanigans at GameStop for the Heracronite/Pinsirite serial code giveaway and ORAS preorders. Various stores don't have the cards the codes are printed on, some don't have the promised posters for preordering ORAS, some are requiring a preorder before giving the card to people, etc. Apparently Nintendo is looking into it and trying to resolve the issue.

...I think you have the wrong thread, shoo-buddy.

Anyway, I used to Wonder Trade my breeding rejects, but recently I've had to start releasing them, as I'm running out of spacecin my Bank alongside my Living Dex.

I just got back into the shiny craze, I've hatched 100s of Chespins attempting a shiny (and failed), now I shall search through the friend safari because I'm not that motivated yet for a shiny Espurr.

Have you tried the Masuda method or getting the shiny charm?

I've done the Masuda Method for all 1,700 eggs I've hatched, or close to it, and have had no luck, lol. A shiny charm is pretty much impossible since it requires completing the National Dex. At least for me, I might try since I just learned it doesn't require Event Pokemon to get. Although, I'm not sure if that means seeing Pokemon or actually catching/obtaining them all.

Stone evolved Pokemon might be a problem though, since I evolved a few Helioptiles... Also with trade evolved Pokemon because, y'know.

I heard through the grapevine that you don't need to have or see all the event legendaries to complete the national dex. I'm still missing articuno in my Kalos dex but it's still counted as complete.

That said, in order to have a complete pokedex you have to have all kalos-born pokemon. Like, say I transport a Krabby to pokemon Y through pokebank and then evolve it. The dex counts that as seeing Krabby and Kingler, but they don't count towards OWNING Krabby and Kingler. You'd have to hatch a Krabby in Kalos and evolve it, and THEN it will count towards owning all the pokemon.

It took me a while to figure out. It's kinda frustrating.

As someone who's been Shiny Hunting for a while now, let me give you a few tips.

1. I suggest you go after a Shiny and Egg Charm first to obviously increase you chances, the Shiny chance in X/Y has been lowered, but Shiny Pokemon are still a thing to behold and are still pretty daisies hard to find, and if you focus on getting your Pokedex to 100%, you could very well run into one by dumb luck like me. (Check a page or 2 back, I got that Kakuna from searching for the elemental monkeys in Pinwheel forest.)

2. Don't Pokeradar, they made it completely useless in this game to be honest, you /can/ still find Shiny's with it, but the game just isn't designed with it in mind.

3. Your best bets are Horde grinding with Sweet Scent, Masuda Methoding, and Consecutive Fishing
3A. Horde's are basically a quicker way to find Shiny's randomly in the wild, it goes from 1/5000~ to 5/5000~, and there are some really good shinies you can get with this method such as Scyther and Klefki, this can be a viable option if you have a Shiny Charm
3B. Masuda Methoding is THE most popular method of finding Shiny Pokemon, 1/1000~ are pretty good odds compared to your regular odds, but note that it still falls under the luck factor, some people get a shiny in 30 eggs, 100 eggs, or 1000 eggs, but with a Shiny Charm, you have the highest possible chance out of any other method, just get a Talonflame for easy flying to Lumiose City so you can ride around Clemonts Tower like it's a bike race.
3C. This is a really simple one to do, get a fishing rod, poke the bobber in the water, and keep close attention, you can run from fights and keep your fishing chain going, just never move or anything and you'll be fine, if you hold determination, you're bound to find a shiny, but note this method has made Shinies like Clauncher and Magikarp much less rare/popular as others, so beware that.

Cori, completing the National Dex doesn't actually require all Kalos born Pokemon. Note that some Pokemon, not even including legendaries, cannot be obtained in XY and therefore can't be Kalos born unless they breed from a transported Pokemon. Forcing people to do that would just be ridiculous, and there would still be the non-event legendaries there. I don't know about the Kalos Dex, but I think you were just mistakenly told that by people who prefer most of the Pokemon in the dex being registered from Kalos (and I understand that because I am one of those people). Any Pokemon registered as not being from Kalos will still be considered obtained, and bear a Pokeball symbol on the Pokedex rather than the symbol of Kalos.

So if you've got a Gen 5 game you're golden.

I'm excited but wary because it doesn't look exactly like Tekken. The fighting looked more like a street fighter game to me. Also I want a console release right now.
