Joining the temple is hard work. Also impossible if you're Argonian as far as I know.

Both have pretty lengthy quest chains with some good loot at the end iirc.

They all have lengthy chains with good loot at the end. You could actually do both the Fighter and Thieves Guild questlines, but it requires forward knowledge of what to do at certain points, so not exactly the "organic" experience you currently have going.

I don't even have any of the skills they require as my major or minor skills so eh.

Good thing I've got the console.

Nope. Do not do this. You will overlevel so fast you won't have time to build up XP bonuses. You just need to jump when you're going up a slope and resign yourself to walking/swimming to build up the points.

Though if you've got a level overhaul mod then it might be fine. I had one that gave 1 point to a stat when I gained three levels in any skill that used it. So if I got two levels in Sneak and one in Marksman then I'd get 1 AGI point.

Yo, what's that mod called?

Madd Leveler. It removes the attribute bonus multipliers at levelup by dropping them to x1, but every third skill levelup increases the related attribute by 1.

What's dumb though is that I had it on for a few levels until I realized leveling up my skills had no effect on my attributes, and it took a lot of googling to find out that I had to enable the script via console. If you get the mod and run into the same issue, just enter StartScript "Madd_Leveler" in the console.

Also, everyone currently playing Skyrim should install this.

It's kinda annoying going into a place with some weak dudes at the front and suddenly there's a walking killermachine halfway through the dungeon.

Slight improvement over your chitin I'd say. That UI sears my eyes though.

That set had no one near it except the merchant. The only part missing are the pants and I'm going to buy them from him using this stolen ebony sword.

I broke (well, "broke". The key was on the table right in front of the door and the ordinator left the room.) into a vault in the other tower, stole some ebony equipment and other assorted ordinator stuff, then traded it in the other tower for glass things. Got helmet, long sword, with paralysis enchanted dagger, both bracers and shield. And a mod I installed adds more stuff to every place so there was another merchant outside the ghost gate who sold me greaves.
I still remember from way back when I first played it that there was a place with a bunch of people in glass armor who had a full set just lying on a table but I can't remember where that place was. I thought it was there on ghost gate but it wasn't.

The way I see it, in an Elder Scroll game if the guards aren't able to spot me taking something then obviously they didn't want it more than I did. Invest in some anti-magic barriers or something, which is what I consider to be on those "unpickable" doors/chests that require keys.
