So I know I wrapped up Battle Tendency A while ago but I just thought of a question I wanted answered about it.

What was The Deal with Kars and nature? He saves the dog and flowers but later kills that squirrel and is generally ruthless otherwise. So what was up wight that? Was it just to show that he had lost his last ounce of humanity when he killed the squirrel for no reason or is there more too it?

Does anyone know if Saiyuki is a good anime?

Sailor Moon Crystal ep. one was very meh

It kept switching between being kinda nice but then fairly awkward-looking; 98% of the time everyone's faces are really eugh and would inch dangerously close to the uncanny valley.

Ghost In the Shell 2 was really good. It looked amazing (I've never seen an anime film with so much CG) and was pretty thought-provoking. It was also more abstract than what I expected and also a bit creepier than other entries in the series, thanks to the doll motif. My only real complaint is that they went overboard with the quotes.

Now to see if the new short films are any good.

Just watched all of Sailor Neptune Magica the past few days. So amazing and unexpected. I'm surprised I managed to keep my head wrapped around the plot the whole time, but they do a fairly good job of delivering the twists.

However, there's just one thing I don't understand. Since the plot is basically centered around time travel, where did it start? Sailor Neptune only became involved because the cat sensed great power or whatever in her, but she only had great power because of Sailor Uranus's excessive time travelling. I guess you could say something similar about any time travel plot, but this just doesn't have a clear starting point.

Maybe the "dream" at the beginning is the true starting point, and she witness Sailor Uranus fighting and losing, but then again Sailor Uranus only became a magical girl because Sailor Neptune was one. It just doesn't make any sense!

What happened was that Sailor Uranus kept resetting the same month leading up to Walpurgisnacht in an attempt to change Sailor Neptune's fate; Sailor Neptune's "dream" at the beginning of the series was actually a memory of sorts from the previous timeline.

So every time Sailor Uranus failed to stop Sailor Neptune from either dying or become a magical girl/witch, she would reset time which placed her back to the morning of the day she met Sailor Neptune, which I think was about 4 weeks earlier.

It's been a while since I've watch PMMM but iirc it basically happens over the course of a month.

Vento Aureo has so many good candidates for anime son but I think I like Narancia the best so far. He has some woobie traits without being all helpless, and I can dig that. Also his stand is a small plane with a tiny pilot inside it which is adorable.

episode 10 shows the beginning, in that timeline she's already a magical girl and her wish was to save a cat or something

Finally. It took 6 episodes of NGE for Ikari to stop being an unlikeable self-loathing piece of shit. He was seriously dragging dragging it all down.

He's a bit more bearable now. Honestly though, I don't really like any of the kids.

the thing about NGE is there is something super wrong with all the pilots
the adults are better adjusted but they still have some serious problems

Well it is supposed to present the creator's various mental issues, he was depressed right before coming up with the series. Which doesn't appeal to me since I can't relate.
