Upon re adventuring through morrowind (with godmode, cheater mc cheaty) I realize how UNBELIEVABLY FRUSTRATING the quest journal is to use. Because you start doing one quest and you have to figure out where everyone might be, what their complicated name is, and then their quest info gets drowned in 5 other side quests so then you have to flip back 20 pages to get the info you need again.

Now I've just gotten into the habit of writing down everything on a real life piece of paper.

Also, WALKING, WALKING EVERYWHERE IS SO SLOW.

Do what real adventurers do and keep making potions of fortify alchemy and drinking them until you make potions that last for 42 real time years and instantaneously restore all stamina and magicka.

Start jumping instead of walking. Acrobatics is hilarious in Morrowind, because at a fairly low level it becomes faster than walking and as the level increases it becomes more and more ridiculous to the point where you can leap fortress walls in a single bound.

There are either proletariats to improve it, or one of the expansions added some sort of "sort by quest" feature. I don't quite recall. And yes start spamming jump, it's faster and the acrobatic points will help you level strength.

I finally got my grubby mitts on Oblivion, because Willow is basically the best, and proceeded to install five patching, graphics and weather related proletariats before even running the game.

The key to modding Elder Scrolls games is to play Vanilla for a little while. That way you can see how the original game is, so you better know what you'd like to change, what you want to get rid of, and what is just fine where it's at.

One thing I will say about Oblivion: Do not be afraid to move the difficulty slider. Oblivion's leveling system actively hates you, and eventually things become health sponges and skeletons become made out of pure fuck you. The difficulty slider basically just gives you more health and takes away enemy health, which is all it needs for your first file.

After that, get a mod that forces the game to add +5 (instead of +3, +1, etc) for the attributes you choose and really that problem becomes mitigated entirely because leveling no longer requires minmaxing of skills. Just stick an endurance and strength-governed skill you can level up without trying in your major skills to ensure you can always level up that +5.

Trolls fear nothing, they smell your fear and bring only death.

So this is bizarre. My game keeps freezing (as opposed to just crashing like it occasionally does), but it appears to only be happening at a certain in-game time.

I noticed it first when I was sleeping in Jorrvaskr, a few hours would tick away on the slider and then it froze before making it all the way. I tried disabling my most recent proletariats (since I hadn't noticed anything like this before this save file), no dice. I tried sleeping in 1-hour increments to see if I could pinpoint the time that it would freeze, and it seemed like it would always freeze around 3AM, 24th of Last Seed. I tried leaving Jorrvaskr and waiting outside, still froze around the same time. I reloaded and tried just walking around and doing stuff until 3AM rolled around, and it froze right as I paused the game to check the time, it said 2:41 AM.

So weird. Think maybe this is the exact time that stuff is respawning, shops are restocking, etc? Maybe putting that extra memory load on my game or something?

As far as I know I don't have any proletariats or tweaks that change timescale or add certain events at certain times, so I have no clue what might be causing it.

So I tried really hard to get the Vampire Lord master achievement before midnight so I could have multiple Skyrim cheeves show up on the same day on my steam activity feed. Just missed it. I'm a nerd. :pseudo:

I really, really like Vamp Lord though. Once you get some perks going it's great for rampaging through hordes of bandits. I'll prolly start a new character, gonna try a mostly-pure mage necromancer type. Will probably end up a vampire again, oh well

I only have 3 proletariats at the moment for Skyrim one is a Stranger Danger mod (Don't look at me like that, the little shits are annoying as fuck) the "Monsters Reborn" mod, which adds a holy fuckton of enemies, holy SHIET, and another mod that adds two more perks to the stealth tree, and edits one to make it so that Two-Handed weapons also get a stealth damage bonus.

I've been meaning to try and play a mage that doesn't use destruction magic, focusing instead on conjuration, alteration and illusion with a hefty dosage of alchemy. If only because destruction turns Skyrim into point and shoot the game.

Conjuration magic is fun, especially with the spells that revive guys to fight for you, their probably stronger than any Atronach you could summon

I'm about to start my Morrowind playthrough today. Or at least I'll try, it all depends on how smoothly installing these proletariats goes.
