So I've been rereading a few of my old haunts in the webcomic world, and is it just me, or were there even more comics about wacky college students back in the early days of the medium? I mean, there's some now too, but it seems that was 50% of the yield back then, 80 if you count the overlap with gamer comics.

I think that college aged people who liked videogames were the ones mostly likely to read and have the time to write/draw webcomics. That got saturated and then they branched out.

Sometimes in the same comic. Seriously, Apple Geeks turned into some weird robot manga thing, College Roomies From Hell only spent like a month at an actual college, and I dont even know what the hell happened to Class Menagerie

We won't mention B^U.

Generic college videogame webcomics are often harder on the artist then the reader.
