Olaf's song felt pathetically like filler, the movie benefited nothing from it and it just wasn't pleasant to sit through.

Wow, it seems like most peoples' senses of humor are screwy.

So, I really liked the new Spider-Man movie. It's even better than all of those other Spider-Man movies. I hope the next movie's going to be a bunch of boss fights with the Sinister Six. That'd be cool, though I wonder if MJ would show up? It feels like it'd be difficult for Peter to put himself out there again so soon and with a bunch of OsCorp-backed supervillains trying to off him at every opportunity.

Yeah. I mean, it had one kinda funny moment, but otherwise it was just painful to go through.

Maybe if the song was more of a banter with him being idealistic and Kristoff being a bit snide (and Anna trying to keep him from crushing Olaf's naivety), it would work, but it felt more like an aside, and it never really went anywhere.

It was pretty much "oh, let's give a song to the quirky comic relief character" with no real purpose or impact.

I finally got around to watching the new Robocop. I really enjoy how it builds on the themes of all the different parts of the franchise. The basis is the entire premise of Murphy becoming the actual Robocop, but rather than starting off entirely robotic he's just the person he was when they fix him and they integrate that part by them trying to take out his emotions. I think they handled that extremely well. Rather than just make a new movie based on the same premise and slapping the name on it, without truly seeming to understand what made the original so great, they managed to take the story and themes of the original work and made it more fit as a contemporary work.

While the original had a more cynical feel to it, with the extreme violence in Detroit (and the US in general) and as such being a commentary on media and perhaps society back then, in this movie they went into droid warfare (and some lobbyism and corporate persuasion) and as such were able to handle the themes of "what makes a human?" and how Murphy himself felt about what was done to him (that scene with him seeing what was left of him).

I'm looking forward to what they can do with a possible sequel and how they'd handle the transhumanism themes.

Y'know what, forget Mary Jane, the next movie should have Black Cat.

I wonder if Sony'll ever let go of Spiderman. Yeah, it'ss their biggest cash cow, but both of the Amazing movies have done way less than any of the Raimi movies. And i'd love to see what Marvel would do with Spidey, how rad would Miles Morales be on the big screen?

Eh, it might be a good thing that Marvel doesn't get Spider-Man. Some Marvel movies are just there to get their heroes prepared for an Avengers movie, and the only obligation the Amazing movies have is to make sure the next movie's going to be about the Amazing Spider-Man. Also, Sony's fight scenes have been the coolest.

And besides, Spidey's always been sort of a lone wolf spider.

I miss the Danny Elfman music. At least they got Hans Zimmer for the sequel, though.

Sandman was also ridiculous yet kinda cool with his motivation of helping his sick daughter. Electro VS Sandman, who wins?

Sandman was the only good thing about the third movie, the rest is such a horrible mishmash of halfbaked ideas. The second one still holds up rather well tho, I remember people saying it was the best superhero movie ever, and it totally was until Ironman. The first one's ok by today's standards, but people went apeshit for it when it first came out.
I'm not really feeling Amazing tho.

Spiderman: I'm just disappointed at how it ended for Motherfucker Jones. I sympathized with his plight more than Sandman's. They really didn't have to kill him off.

Ironically, though, I respect the movie for having killed his GF off...

The only person who stays dead in Marvel is Uncle Ben.

I'm really excited for Godzilla guys. Like, really excited. I'm heading to the theater as soon as I get out of work.

I just saw Ferris Bueller's Day Off.
You know, I think that's one of the only movies I've seen in my life I can give a 10/10.

Wait until you read the fan theory that the entire movie is in Cameron's head.
