I used Durante's mod to run Dark Souls II at 4K and it was actually playable and ran at 60 fps.

It's in alpha though so it's not stable so I'm going to go back to more traditional downsampling methods for the time being.

I'm recording some of my more amusing deaths to make some sort of funny/bullshit compilation later on, and this is my least favourite so far.

You pretty much got the trifecta of bullshit right there: the game changes it's rules without telling you, enemies hit you through walls and pivoting somehow moves you backwards.

Game didn't change any rules (you got too close to the arms thing) , Souls walls are always weird (you hit through the wall too) and you were on the very very edge of a cliff and changed footing, you didn't move backwards, you lost the very precarious position you were in and physics works.

100% your fault

What arms thing? The creature before don't attack you even if you shit directly in their face. Except the two behind the door to that moment, who also give zero shits about the torch for some reason.

I unfortunately don't have an AI that can detect things through walls though.

So if you stand on the edge of a cliff you're always dead no matter what? Why not just make you fall off earlier then? Any way, pretty sure any one with two functional legs is able to pivot on the spot.

Don't get me wrong I still like the game.
