ive had a couple good messages, "nice job" in the forest of FG where you can jump to the area with the 2 hollows that ambush you if you go into the cave (pointless jumping up there btw)


other most successful one was in shrine of amana which said something along lines look closely this shits familiar (the roots and such from ruins of izalith)

I just summoned phantoms when I saw the mist door because I had one effigy and didn't want to waste it if I botched a boss. The sentinels decided they were much more interested in pushing my phantom friend into the corner with a heavy shield while me and the NPC phantom used spells from afar.

let's clear up the misconception about mundane

santier's spear has no scaling right? logically you'd want to raw it. mundane is the best infusion with this however because the mundane scaling is 6 damage per stat point. so a 20 in all stat build would give it crazy amounts of scaling, on top of the many other neat things you get with 20 in a stat. people do 20 in all stats because it's the soft cap; it'll only scale by 3 afterwards.

also it doesn't scale with every single 20, it scales off one 20. just wanted to point that out

i'm not sure where you got this, because every source i can find says you're flat out wrong, and it scales with every lowest stat

however, mundane scaling hits the soft cap at 20 so it's useless to go too much higher

maybe they mean it scales with every stat as in no matter what the stat is, it will scale with it. not that they all stack if they are all 20

cause its a solid number? and if you dont go to 20 and leave it at 15, then whats the point it wouldnt be as powerful.


all 20s is not that as difficult to reach, you can use spices to gain access to spells, and the mundane thing is actually worth doing at that number.


im also not saying im right and your wrong, mundane is still some wonky shit. i fully accept i could be talking out my booty but this is what the dark souls 2 guide says so take that as you will

Lots of people complain about the Pursuer but I quite liked the fight. Large humanoid boss fights are where the Souls games shine IMO.

because getting to 20 in every stat generally means you are pretty high level, and some people still dont know about soul memory (i know i didnt till someone pointed it out on here/ENB talked about in a vid)

So apparently invasions don't generally happen in NG, because you can't buy invasion items in NG, but begin ramping up starting with NG+ and I am perfectly OK with that. Let me do one run without interference, get my stuff, deal with rat and bell bros, level up covenants a bit, then I'll step into the battlefield.

gettin the lowest stat to 20 is just the beginning of the build

since most builds are sl150, mundane can afford to sink points into one "dump stat" that people want to gear specifically towards

make a wep mundane, equip it, and go see how its damage changes while you're respeccing

when you got 20 in all stats and 19 in the lowest one, it'll scale off 19 right. it's not like when you make that 19 into a 20 that your mundane wep will suddenly gain hundreds of bonus damage

only off one 20 yo

and also like i said, people bring every stat to 20 because that's the soft cap

Gargoyles down. They were my bane in DaS and they didn't go easy on me this time either. Lost Sinner was fairly uninteresting, she just hit hard but only took me one try regardless.

no you can get invaded in ng, i got 3 red invasions (non-red sign) before ng. the thing is there is no more red eye orb, its all limited to cracked eyes, which you have to farm off npcs or fight your own faction for them
