Did you kill Vendrick after getting all the Giant's Souls because as far as I know that's really the only big thing. A lot of stuff only drops in NG+ but other than the main four boss souls who are changed from their normal souls into the lord souls from DS1 the only changes are more powerful rings can drop.

I really like the voice work in ds2. Creighton and tiny are probably my fave

I'm a few hours into DeS and I'm getting the hang of it. I've killed Phalanx and Armor Spider so far as well as my first invader on the dragon bridge in 1-2. The online is surpringly active, judging by all the ghosts I keep seeing.

Made it through The Gutter and noped harder than i've noped before at the whatever the fuck it is at the end. Freed Straid and got the Dragonrider Bow. My poison resist is shit tho, so the rest of Drangleic's lower intestine will have to wait.

keep in mind the end of the gutter leads to black gluch which is a required boss. also note you can break those statues to stop them from spewing poison. i find it works best with a shield/spear tho you can use any long range weapon (iron arrows/bolts tho for archery)

its a horrible area but you need to do it lol.

there's no bed of chaos but the fucking black gulch makes up for it oh my god the worst

also: only losers play offline, real men play online because there's no fucking invasions anyways i've been invaded ONCE it's fuckin' weird

online is fixed now also

theres been less invasion cause they took out the red eye orb. now its only cracked, so invasions are limited and the only way to get more is to use a token of spite to duel and WIN against another brother of blood

what do you mean by that

you mean NPCs invading as red phantoms, or gravelording?

because there's no gravelord equivalent in the game, no, but NPCs do still invade and there's a very very small number (like single digit) of enemies who are red phantoms who appear once and are basically mini-bosses.

EDIT: whoop whoop warning i guess

patch 1.02 apparently permanently closes all doors in drangleic castle, even if you warp inside it everything will be shut and will not open.

also, beat the game, started a new character as a dual-wielder

returned to Heide's Tower and beat the Old Dragonslayer without much trouble. Sinner's Rise is giving me alot of trouble tho, all them crossbows

as long as you keep moving, they have a very hard time hitting you. run in, backstab one while it takes out it's sword, run to the next, rinse repeat.
