I also got my first shiny in X. It was the Charmander I recieved from Sycamore. *insert high-pitched squeals and prancing here*

Excluding the Red Gyarados, my only shinies were Rattata in Silver, Elekid in Crystal, Elektrike in Ruby and Qwilfish and Dragalge in Y.

My first, and so far only shiny is a shiny Geodude in Platinum. I found it a couple months ago when i was trying to catch up with the games I've missed.

Well, I'm going to hell.

Nope, it was the first one for me. I didn't even notice it was shiny for awhile. "What's with the lighting? That Charmander sure is bright..."

I did spend a week trying to get a shiny Tepig in White version. I failed.

The only shiny I've ever encountered in-game was a shiny Roserade while I was looking for a Pikachu in the Trophy Garden in Pearl. I (SOMEHOW) didn't really know what a shiny was, and was on auto-pilot and ran away before really registering the glimmer and weird music.

Ah, well. The SO used an ActionReplay borrowed from a friend, and I got a shiny Ditto and shiny Mew for shits and giggles (they're both light blue) in SoulSilver, but it's not the same.

My best shiny story:
I used to play the fuck out of Emerald when I was younger, I spent months looking for a Feebas fishing spot (If you don't know Feebas we're only found in 14 different tiles that randomized every day on a certain lake/route) so when I finally found one I was so excited and pop flyin' that I must have caught at least 100+ Feebas. I returned to my Emerald game years later only to find one of the Feebas I caught was fuckin Shiny so now I have a level 100 shiny Milotic in X that I've had for years.

Since we're talking about what shinies we've caught, I've managed to catch 3 shinies (not counting the Red Gyarados, of course): a shiny Graveler in Diamond, a shiny Shuckle in SoulSilver, and a shiny female Combee in X. Really pop flyin' about that last one.

I have never encountered a wild shiny, other than the red Gyarados in Gold. However, I HAVE managed to breed some shinies in X. I have a team with a shiny Blaziken, Venusaur, Tyrantrum, and Aegislash. Now, I just need to breed a shiny Froakie and Hawlucha.

I also bred a shiny Chikorita by accident.

Before X and Y I only caught two shinies myself (Gyarados not included)
A Rattata named Silver in Gold (Back when I didn't even know what a shiny was I just knew that silver rat was special) and a Geodude named Midas in SoulSilver.
I also had two versions of PCP, one evolved into Pikachu, a Lanturn (from the GTS, obvious hack ) and Vaporeon (got her as an Eevee from a person who had been chaining them in Platinum)

In X I randomly came across a wild Carnivine, found an Audino in the Friend Safari, traded for a Zangoose and two more Eevees (one turned into a Sylveon) and while attempting to IV-breed myself an Infernape I hatched a shiny Chimchar.

I still have most of these shinies in my X game, except for the Rattata due to Gen 2 being incompatible with later gens and Lanturn who was released because hack.

Woe onto the person who finds their first shiny as a shiny garydos outside of gen II's story. Nobody will believe them.

Its come to my realization that right now, we're basically all that guy with the shiny Pinsir
