I've got several shinies in previous gens, none in XY.

I've only caught a Shiny Pumpkaboo in X, so I get Katie's pain. Have not been able to find one since, how are people getting so lucky?

It's ok to be totally jelly of other peoples' shinies, but yours are special! You'll always remember how you caught it, and how rewarding it felt. Except if it was a Bidoof.

WHY WAS MY FIRST SHINY A BIDOOF A 1/1638 chance of finding a shiny, and my first was a Bidoof in Platinum. At least you found a shiny you'd want in a team!

My first shiny was a Bidoof too.

Mine was a Wurmple.

Aw, but at least a shiny Beautifly/Dustox looks pretty nice, as opposed to a lighter shade of brown!

I got two shinies in one playthrough of HeartGold. A Zubat and Magikarp. Some may call them junk... me? I call them treasures!

I had a shiny Zubat once in Emerald...unfortunately it was during training for the Elite Four so no chance to use it.

Come to think of it that happened with the shiny Boldore in Black 1 too.

At least I got to use the Quagsire in Heart Gold.

My first shiny was an Unown, in Silver, and the cart's save long since died. Then a Lileep in Sapphire, but I thought green was the normal color so I didn't save it when I erased the file/transferred stuff/etc it's all kinda blurry just what was the reason.

First shiny was a tentacool. Unfortunately I already had my water Cockfighting Society for the game...

All of my shiny luck came from Cockfighting Society Emerald, I never got a shiny in any other game.

I even remember where I found them all down to their exact space, I found Graveler in Team Magma's Hideout, Zubat in Shoal cavern, and Cascoon in Rustboro forest.

I have never caught a shiny. The only one I've encountered was a marill in diamond's safari zone.

One of my friends did catch a shiny ghastly he hated for some reason, so I got a shiny gengar, which is nice

I found a shiny Tympole in my Black nuzlocke. 6 or 7 gyms later, it still lives. But why did the glorious gleaming gold colour turn to a nasty booty brown?

Only shiny I have to this day is a shiny Luvdisc; so at the very least if I find someone to spend my life with I can give it to them and make a terrible "heart of gold" pun.

So naturally it is currently collecting dust in my PC box.
