I'm as interested in Frozen as I am in Disney princess movies in general (= zero interest) but if they made a full-length documentary about the technical side of the movie's creation, I'd watch the shit out of it because I find that stuff really interesting. I saw a short video about the physics calculations required to produce the snow in the movie and it was damn impressive and it's a shame most people will never even realize what kind of marvels of computing modern CGI movies are.

Maybe I'm just a nerd.

I kinda still wish that they put in the deleted scene of Anna's and Hans's shadows getting stolen.

So today I watched Hotel Transylvania, Brave, and Vita es Bella.

Hotel was well animated and cute, Brave was far better than I was expecting what with all the bears and junk, and Vita è Bella, I watched with my brother. At the end of the movie, my brother asked me, "Why did we just watch one of the most depressing movies ever made?" and I could only respond by laughing while tears escaped.

I liked Hotel Transylvania, though I didn't care much for the message.

Paranorman was cool

I saw the behind the scenes video where they were working on Aggie and I was seriously SO IMPRESSED with all of the things they did to make Aggie look the way she did. I actually saw that before I watched the movie, so I really hoped she would get more screentime than she wound up having.

I rewatched Toy Story while doing some other stuff and I found myself rolling in nostalgia. Even though the animation is pretty dated by now, it remains such a wonderfully fun movie. I hope they put the sequels up on Dutch netflix soon.

Downloaded Fantasia 2000 again, mainly for Rhapsody Blues.

Can't say I'm disappointed, there is a lot of good art and plenty of nostalgia in it.

recent thing Gareth Edwards said about Godzilla.

he great question people ask is 'If he was a
person, what kind of person would he be?'
And I feel like if he was a human character,
he'd probably be like one of the Last Samurai.
Or like a Ronin. He's kind of like a noble,
ancient warrior ; the rest of his kind is long
gone, and he's pop flyin' to just keep to himself.
And reluctantly only comes up when he has
to correct something that's wrong with the
world. That was the character we were going
for.

Dunno 'bout you, but my hype is max.
