AWKWARD ZOMBIE

It's ultimately a problem of bad coding. Other games like Trauma Center have no problem with tracking (other than the damned defibrillator ). But some games like Okami, seems to have major recognition issues. The "Z" button was a weak work-around considering similar games do not require such a trick, and even while using the Z Button, there was still inconsistancy. I suppose ultimately it is no different from any game with poor control response, except this time it revolves around the wiimote instead of a gamepad.

... It's not entirely surprising though... IIRC, the game was outsourced to another company to complete the port, which didn't uphold the same standards as Clover Studio.

it may be fun, but i want a pretty Okami game.

Okami is like, the only game i think that graphics matter as much as plot and gameplay. It's SUPPOSED to be pretty, it's a game about art!

Normally i'm gameplay+plot > graphics kinda gal.. BUT NOT WITH OKAMI ;_;

Well it is a Wii game, and shaking the Wiimote and stuff like that is supposed to be the point. Adding button attacks would just make it confusing like that ToS game for the Wii.

I haven't played the first game, so I don't know if the dog spirit was female and this puppy is supposed to be her offspring or something.

As said, it's a completely new character.
Amaterasu Okami, the wolf from the first game, was bodaciously the goddess of the sun. So yeah, the new one might be some sort of offspring. Especially since it has the marks of the gods (y'know, those red stripes).
Oh, and Okamiden's said to take place after the original.
