Is there something you love, but everyone else hates, or vice versa? Tell us about it here! Or just tell it to me, at least. I'm interested in this kind of thing. Also, it'd be cool if you went into some detail about why you feel the way you do, but, of course, you aren't obligated to. Finally, whether you have a popular or unpopular opinion about something, please don't shame people for not agreeing with you. Remember, the only correct opinion is my opinion.

Anyways, to start off, I actually really don't like V for Vendetta. It's just not my cup of tea in general, plus it's very obviously politically biased, which is a pet peeve of mine when it comes to media. And YES, I KNOW I SHOULD HAVE EXPECTED THAT GOING INTO IT.

Also, I don't like the Indiana Jones ride at Disneyland California as much as everyone else. Don't get me wrong, it's fun, and I enjoy it, it's just not my favorite. It's too fast most of the time for you to take in everything like a lot of the other rides, but it's so set on the tracks and uses its hydraulics so much that you don't feel any G Force like you would on a roller coaster.

On a similar note, I also don't hate It's A Small World. I think it's neat seeing interpretations of different cultures and hearing the song sung in a bunch of different languages. There's so much happening in that ride that I find something new every time I get on.

I don't know how unpopular it actually is, but I don't believe in free will.

My experiences with people who don't believe in free will are with defeatists who try to use it as an excuse for why they suck

They almost attribute it to destiny or fate but think they're being logical bcus science

I think on a cosmic scale maybe there isn't but as far as humanity goes people have agency.

It depends on your point of view. One could argue that any choice we make is simply the result of every action and experience taken beforehand, and is thus predictable, but while that might be true, the difference is negligible. Free will might be an illusion, but so might everything else. It doesnt matter in the end

I really like the Brothers Grimm movie with Matt Damon and Heath Ledger. I can acknowledge that it wasn't a very good movie. But I like a lot of little things about it. I even enjoy how flat the villain is, metaphorically speaking.

Also, related to the free will/defeatist thing. I've come to dislike the phrase 'I wear my heart of my sleeve' because it's like when people say it, they're just excusing themselves from being tactful or having self control.

I mean I don't feel particularly defeatist. I don't really think it affects my everyday life all that much.

I think a lot of people assume that having no agency means there's no point in improving themselves which is kind of dumb

although I guess it was unavoidable that I would respond like this ;;;;;)

I don't believe in free will because I ascribe our actions to chaos theory, but people who use it to avoid blame or to give up are just whiny. To pretend you don't still choose to take any given action is dumb.

More on topic, I enjoy Nickelback a good deal.

I don't love it but I do like some Nickelback songs. Also My Chemical Romance. I mean seriously "Black Parade" would clinch that just by itself.

Dunno if you can tell, but I fucking love Pro Wrestling. Loved it as a little poo babby, but left around the Attitude Era only to come back to Wrestling at the tail end of the Ruthless Aggression Era for like a week. Thanks to the SuperBestFriends and their month dedicated to the miasma that is Pro Wrestling in video games I'm more interested than ever.

It's just so much fun, when the whole crowd gets behind a guy and they start cheering loud enough to shake the foundations, or watching crazy lucha libre dudes defy gravity, or the absolute zenith of camp, i just find myself comin' back again and again.

YEAH

Also, I don't think Shaq Fu is as terrible as everyone makes it out to be. It's definitely not good, the gameplay and story suck, but the music is great and the characters look cool and there were cool moveset ideas.

You should check out the graphic novel, it's much more politically nuanced and ambiguous and in general just plain better.

Yeah, but the added ridiculousness of using O'Neil as the basis of the game is what truly puts it over the top of being one of the worst games ever made. Mediocrity can be forgiven. Stupidity, less so
