Probably. It's probably popped up in my store a couple of times since I haven't played in quite a while. And I've reset half a dozen times because I'm picky and people keep moving right next to me, no matter where I go to try and isolate myself.

Ugh, don't get me started on neighbors moving into bad places. I had a nice town, there was a river running through it that separated the houses from the town centre as is normal. It was a very nice layout and the pathways were coming along nicely. That is, of course, until some idiot decided to move in right in front of the Town Hall. I really wish his puny AI brain could comprehend the death threats written on the notice board.

You can't zone specific areas as residential, commercial, etc in Animal Crossing? So sad. SimCity is a vastly superior simulation of mayorhood!

No. You get to be mayor this time, but in reality don't have anything to say.
In the previous installments (WW, CF, don't ask me about the original one I wasn't there), people could only move to predefined places (marked with signposts). However, you could build your houses only in predefined places as well.

I've had my trouble with houses popping up in the worst places as well. One cute squirrel killed a bunch of my black roses... I have forgiven him, but still, he shouldn't have done that. Though now my town is overgrown by gold roses anyways... ^^

I just plant the valuable flowers along streams or next to existing houses. New building don't pop up too close to existing ones.

There is a one unit space between be and both my neighbors, neither of whom I want because I built my house down there so I could be away from their needy asses and have a garden. But nooooooooooooooooooooo, WHITNEY had to block off my left-hand path!
