Game Grumps is hilarious, but every few months I have to stop watching because they say shit like "Bioshock Infinite isn't a game" or they spend a playthough complaining about how modern mario is creatively sterile because they used an enemy from SMB 3(they weren't even talking about the New series, it was 3D Land)

For informative playthroughs I watch chuggaaconroy, or I watch Star's tf2 videos

Speaking of chugga one of my favorite LPs is his Kirby's Epic Yarn one.

He's just so goddamn pop flyin' throughout it

How can anyone not be pop flyin' playing Epic Yarn
What do you think Chuggaa's gonna do this year? On his Facebook he said he'd be doing 4 games from series he's done before, and 1 all-new one
I'm guessing Pikmin 3 and Xenoblade Chronicles so far

CHUGGA'S DOING POKEMON XD

I actually sold my copy, which is a shame because I have the special edition Gamecube that came with the game.

Oh

Well that's kinda dissapointing
I mean it would make sense because he did Pokemon Colosseum, but that and XD are pretty much the same to my understanding

I'm a huge Two/Super Best Friends fan. I can safely say that I've watched at least 98% of their videos, and their podcast fills my otherwise painful daily commute with joy. I enjoy NorthernLion's videos and stream a lot as well. I also watch Raocow from time to time. I used to watch him daily, but I got burned out after a while.

Game Grumps is alright; I'll click on one of their videos if they're playing something especially interesting or I'm in the right mood. It got noticeably better once Danny replaced Jon. I used to frequently get irritated by their refusal to acknowledge tutorials, stupid opinions, and lack of acknowledgement of the game they're playing, but Danny seems to not have those issues and usually balances out Arin. Now if only they'd institute a policy to forbid Arin from playing anything made after 1998
(I get a lot of enjoyment out of seeing people mock the Grumps' flaws though, so reading through this thread has been fun)

Let's see

• Sonic Adventure/SA2 are exactly like Sonic '06
• New Mario is awful because it "isn't creative"
• Bioshock Infinite isn't a game
• Metroid: Other M is good because the engine is good for a Mega Man game, no other reason

"The Worst Day in American History" comment might have been my favorite part of that last Disaster video. I'm lying of course Evens was the best part obviously. Also the Bomb disposal reminded me of Policenauts.

Also Also E_Z mentioned Raocow and yeah he's actually pretty good at what he does but what he does is hard to watch all the time so I burn out on him all the time.

Also Also Also I wanted to mention that Ego's bad video game opinions are super baffling because the sequelities videos were real good and then he talked about video games more often and that was way worse.

The Super Best Friends said on their podcast that they're getting their own real site for their videos, and this was the first time that I'd heard of it. Had they announced it before?

The way I see it, his opinions on what constitutes good design are excessively narrow. He's totally right when he talks about the positive aspects of games, like the tight design of Castlevania or Megaman, but he also dismisses a lot of benign or positive design attributes as bad. For instance, he's right that Megaman X's way of silently teaching the player is brilliant, but he can't seem to accept that it's not feasible in games with more complex controls and rules.

First I've heard about it too.
