No, I meant it would be unfair to base a staggered release on anything other than region.

For the first time I have a maxed trainer card, after having finished my living Kalos Pokedex (minus Scizor, but I helped someone else evolve their Scyther so I have it anyway). The nurse changes her dialogue completely, it's amazing.

Gettn preeeeeeeeeeetty stressed at the moment

I took a friend of mine up on an offer to provide some pokemon related help. See him and over a dozen others like him do a Pokemon Gym leaders thing every year at a local convention. They all divide up the different types among themselves and train competitive teams for people to play on the convention floor. One of the people who was supposed to be the Psychic guy was unable to do it, and they were gettn a little worried about having a missing seat on the team, so my friend convinced me to join on in. Now I've never really done any competitive Pokemon battling. Hell I only started actually playing the games with actual humans since gen 5, and I'd never even HEARD of shit like IVs and EVs before last year.. Now, on top of school stuff, I'm attempting to get this team ready before the end of February. I'll probably be able to do it, but it's been a lot to think about, and I don't want to let anyone down. So far I have one pokemon finished up, Malamar, but I'm at a loss for the move sets for the rest of my team. All I DO know s that I wanna try a trick room team cuz I got a lotta big slow assholes on it.

If anyone who has any experience with competitive play, type coverage (move wise) and move sets, I would kinda appreciate some input.

My decided upon team (in case anyone's interested) is as fuckin follows:
Metagross
Galade
Malamar (complete)
Slowking
Reuniclus
Espeon

Haven't finalized them all yet. Malamar has Contrary. Regenerate is my plan for Reuniclus. Magic Bounce for Espeon. The others are up in the air I guess. Tryin to figure out what would be best

Finally completed the Pokedex (thank god event legendaries aren't needed). I have the Shiny Charm now, and I'm trying out chaining with the Radar. I can't seem to get the hang of it though, because the chain keeps breaking after only a few encounters.

Also, does the Shiny Charm stack with the Masuda Method? Because I s2g I can't find a straight answer.

Edit: wow I got a chain of 12 Furfrous and of course it broke. I screamed "NO" so loud my throat hurts a little now.
fuck this I'm not going to do chaining if it's gonna make me act that way.

Edit2: Tried out hunting through hordes and I found a shiny Foongus fairly quickly. I don't really care for Foongus, but it's better than nothing; Gives me some hope.

Smogon did a bunch of testing (I think around 50,000 eggs) and confirmed that yes, Masuda Method is stackable with the shiny charm.
Also, for chaining, here is a really complete guide.

Oh thank goodness. I've been worried that filling the Pokedex would have been a waste of time.

Also thanks for that link! I don't think I've seen a chaining guide that thorough.

Still not guaranteed without a data dump (plus IIRC, it just counted people's eggs until shinies, which of course means people who had short hunts are going to skew the numbers down), and we don't even have an exact figure on MM either.

Kind of the bad thing about not having the games datamined (though the stupid shit that comes with datamining isn't missed).
