I have a problem
I'll spend 45 minutes looking at and installing proletariats, play for 10 minutes, and then look for even more proletariats.

I hired a random mercenary in Windhelm to sacrifice to Boethia. I find followers more trouble than they're worth, and at my level if they're not immortal enemies just oneshot them anyway.

Yeah, followers really interfere with my play style. I prefer to use stealth in all of my enemy encounters if possible. Even followers that supposedly have high stealth, like Aela the Huntress, get spotted by enemies. Plus, if I don't oneshot an enemy, my follower rushes right into the danger zone. So I stopped letting them come with me.

There is a mod that fixes that. I don't remember the name, but if your sneaking, your follower won't run off and attack till you're standing.

I'm a little bit leery of installing too many proletariats. I have some additional sound effects proletariats and one that hits guards with lightning if they say 'arrow' and 'knee' in the same sentence. Just simple stuff, nothing that affects the gameplay.

I don't think I have the blade you're referring to in my game. I'm probably not going to bother with all of the daedric quests anyway, since I already passed up two of the artifacts I would have needed--the cannibal ring and the Rueful Axe. I just couldn't bring myself to kill poor Barbas :c

You don't have to kill Barbas to get an artifact though, if you convince Clavicus Vile to take him back you get the Masque of Clavicus Vile. Either the masque or the axe count as a daedric artifact, for achievement purposes anyway.

The Ebony Blade is Mephala's quest reward btw. It gets strengthened by the "blood of deceit" meaning that if you kill friends with it it gets stronger. I haven't used it at all though since it's a 2-handed, I just wanted to find out if the two daedric events would work at the same time.

Oh yeah, I forgot about the Masque.

Eh, maybe if I start a new game someday I'll do the daedric quests. All I'm missing by not doing them is an achievement, right?

The Rueful Axe doesn't count as a daedric artifact for the purpose of getting the achievement/trophy. The Masque does.

If you miss exactly ONE of the daedric artifacts (usually either the Masque, or the one you get from Vaermina), there's a glitch workaround where you can get Hircine's twice, which will give you the award. This works at least on PS3, as I ended up using it to get the trophy.

So if you really want to get "all" of them, you still can.

No I can't, haha, I'm missing way more than just two artifacts. I'm missing Vaermina's Staff, Namira's Ring, Mehrune's Razor, and...uhhhh some other ones I think, I need to look it up.

Oh yeah, I have the Black Star, which I don't think counts as an artifact anymore since it's cut off from Azura.

The artifacts I do have at the moment are Molag Bal's mace, the Wabbajack, Spellbreaker, the Masque, Hircine's ring, Sanguine Rose, Dawnbreaker, the Infinium book. and the Ebony mail. Everything else I haven't gotten the quest for yet.

I feel kinda silly now. It took me over a hundred hours before I decided to start meddling with AA and the game looks quite a bit better now with the jaggies gone, and the performance impact isn't that big either since most of my fps drops are in cities where I'm CPU bound anyway, so I have some headroom to put my GPU to extra work.

Meanwhile on my laptop, I downloaded lower res textures for mountains to increase performance outside.

Now certain rocks look like uniform grey blobs. It's great. At this point I can just laugh at how silly my game looks with some mostly bad textures and a few random higher-res ones from stuff added by proletariats. If I ever have doubts about how my game looks I just think back to Oblivion...

I've cursed Skyrim's shoddy coding more than once, my CPU is pretty daisies powerful but my fps can drop into the 20s in Solitude and Markarth despite not hitting 100% CPU or GPU usage because the game relies heavily on single threaded performance, while my CPU excels at multithreaded applications. It's pretty frustrating when you've got the raw power available but the game can't make use of it.

Anyway, I'm done with Dragonborn. Now I just need to finish the main quest.
