Absolutely destroyed in MvM today. The soldier on our team said I'd be last place as a damage class cause all I used was the Loch n load. Boy did I prove that moron wrong.

i went demoknight with my friend in rottenburg and the engineer was freaking out "just kick me i dont want to be apart of this team" and general shit like that

ended up basically destroying everything (even cheddar gotten) and asked what he thought about it at the end

This is why I play MvM with a group of the same friends near exclusively. Unless we're doing Mann Up none of us really care about what classes the others play, and even then it's pretty chill.
We've actually gotten so used to the super hard maps that I suggested we do a beginner level match as entirely joke classes like gunslinger engie and backscratcher Pyro.

here's my thing about mvm

I main engineer in mvm, it's my best class facing down hordes of angry robots.
bodaciously 100% of the matches I play with random people have them telling me where to put my fucking buildings.

I do not need that.

I have played a lot of MvM. Not a whole ton, but I know what the fuck I am doing.

You do not need my fucking dispenser more than I do.

If you have a heavy you have two sentries. Except one is exempt from the sentry busters.

The engineer still gets to choose where the dispenser goes and the heavy is going to like it

actually it depends. if you get max range on the dispenser you can shift it around for certain maps so it helps out both you and the team at the same time. some spots also have metal so the engineer can just keep getting that and let the dispeser give its healin and ammos for everybody who needs it


not saying engineers dont need dispensers in mvm but sometimes having a dispenser thats not near the sentry can help

it depends on the range though

ultimately, when i'm setting up, i'm putting my dispenser near me, and i'm gonna sit in the most shielded location possible

when i'm scrambling to build things because i fucked up and didn't hear the sentry buster, that dispenser is going wherever other people need it, and then my sentry is just going right next to it, and i'll move up the line slowly if i can

but at the end of the day it's straight up annoying if you're gonna complain that my shit is not working directly for whatever kind of tactic you think you have going on that is more important than a sentry staying up and stopping the eighteen hundred scouts

whoa wow image bigger than expected

this guy tells me nothing i don't already know, and then has a sentry in a terrible spot, which while it covers a wider area, it leaves you with no actual cover at all

near where he's got the dispenser is where the sentry should be, there's a bit between the rocks where a sentry can easily cover that entire side, and if robots are spawning from the right, you just move the sentry in front of/near the dispenser

otherwise this is bodaciously all the shit i do, except now i'm usually going with the short circut over the wrangler, just because completely stopping giant demomen and soldiers from outputting damage is way better than a thing that will shut down my sentry for two seconds if i have to heal it

maxing out metal and getting metal regen (if you got the dosh for the regen) and just spamming that shit is bodaciously broken when fighting certain waves now

Or if you have a good team they can stop the entire robot wave thing from doing anything at all, or weaken it to the point that the sentry takes it out when they walk behind the stick things the tank goes through.
