I admit when I first heard things about Frozen I was all aboard the Hate Train, since The Snow Queen is seriously one of my favorite fairy tale stories. But I knew I was very fixated on WHAT I COULD HAVE BEEN and not what it was.
And then when I did see it I was quite charmed. The characters were of the best parts, the music okay, but what really got me was the MAAAAAAGIIIIIIIIIIIIICCCCCCC.
But the movie overall was really confused about its themes, and then I was really thrown off by theHANS IS EVIL MEN ARE EVIL EVERYONE ONLY HAD BAD INTENTIONS theme.
My one complaint is the snowman, every scene he existed in there was always something trying to murder him, because he is awful. Awful awful awful.
I loved Frozen, though I do agree there are some things that annoy me so much about the movie. That snowman is one of them. He does remind them of their younger selves and say things that remind then of when they were kids, but for the most part he is just an annoying comic relief side kick thing. Also, why would Kristoff be taken in by trolls? Why was he with those dudes carrying ice anyway? He could've been related to them, I think?
Other than that I love the two sisters so much, and Anna's romance with Kristoff was super cute. The thing with
Hans being evil surprised me so much, except for when he said "I'm just trying to find my own place" and gestures to her kingdom. Then I thought that it was just an awkward line. But then he was evil and I was like NOPE OH GOD NOPE. Also,
their parents were kinda antagonists for being negative to Elsa's powers instead of being good Disney parents and loving her for who she is.
