Ooh, those stories sound good. I especially want to see how Celestia and Spike interact. I'm imaging a few funny scenes right now between the two.

Fluttershy looks pretty cute as a vampire bat.

And for the rest, the episode was pretty great.

My first impression of it was eh. I might have to rewatch it when I'm not half asleep though.

That was a great episode. My favorite parts were Flutterbat, the SCIENCE grid Twilight put up, and Pinkie's prehensile drill hair.

What was up with that shot at the end where it showed Fluttershy still having fangs? I hope all these little cliffhangers at the end of episodes are building up to something, and are not just bad sight gags.

Still this was a cute episode

Yeah that's something that a lot of people are wondering after several of those end-of-episode twists; how much continuity will the show actually have? Because I'd absolutely love to see The Pony of Shadows and Flutterbat again. The Power boners, not so much.

This whole video pretty much hits the mark on my opinion of this episode.

I actually enjoyed the way that the moral of the story unfolded through such fantastical means as Flutterbat. Grounded stories are good but the show is also called Friendship is Magic.

Yep. Pretty much hits the nail on the head for me too. Especially the part where he talked about all the wacky framing devices. Looking at some of the synopses, I think that's coming to an end for a while. At least until weird al shows up.

I am especially excited for that episode. The musical piece had better be awesome.

Didn't get to see the new episode until yesterday, since I was out of town for several days. This was probably the best episode since the season opener, in my opinion. The song was decently good, the moral was clear and concise(something that was frustrating me the past couple episodes), Flutterbat was somehow still adorable. Also I think the ending was just a sight gag and won't be relevant for this point on, nor should it be.

Follow up to the last video. He talks about the problems other people had with the episode, especially those who are farmers and can relate to Applejack. I really like the points made here since ever since this episode aired I've had this nagging feeling that I really did not like it, but I couldn't pinpoint why.

It's honestly worrying me a lot that so far the only episodes this season that didn't irritate me were the first one and Scoot's episode. This season has a much different feel to it, and not in a good way. When I try to think of why, the thought that comes to me every time is "The characters are being really stupid and kind of ooc."

It's still really early in this season so I'm hoping it will pick up but I'm not having much hope.

I feel like the problem is that a lot of people expect one character to go this way or one character to go that way on something because of their Element of Harmony when that would just make for something simple and boring.

I liked Bats! a lot mainly because it was more grounded (at least as much as a cartoon about colorful and oft-magical horses can be) than the whole premise of "We're all superheroes now!" that Power boners had going on. As well, like Marcato pointed out, the lesson was laid out clearly throughout the episode. I feel like Power boners had this problem where they just wanted to do a superhero thing and just tossed a lesson into the script at the last second. After the wackiness of the previous episode, I feel like Bats! took a step back in the right direction.

And we are officially continuing the trend of Rarity episodes being good. The only part I didn't really like was that the song was still pretty forgettable. I'm still waiting to hear a good one to get stuck in my head this season and it just hasn't happened yet. Well, at least this one had a nice reprise. Also I really liked the moral in this one and how the whole episode worked around Rarity's Element of Harmony.
