Recently, 3 unreleased tracks made by the band "The Jetzons" were released to the public, one of them stuck out interestingly because it sounds similar to a rather familiar tune any Sonic the Hedgehog fan can recognize.

First, the song, titled "Hard Times"



Sound familiar yet? Here's what it bodaciously is.



So lets put these two together and...


They're the EXACT SAME.

And keep in mind, this song was made around 1982, while Sonic the Hedgehog 3 came out in 1994, so these two tracks had a 12-year distance from eachother, but why is it like this?

Brad Buxer was the keyboardist for the Jetzons during the time this track was created, he later on went on to greater things, including working with the king of pop, Michael Jackson, soon, Brad and Jackson became close friends, working on a lot of projects together.

And by now, any curious gamer knows that Michael Jackson and his good friend Brad Buxer had heavy involvement in the music for the game, and since Buxer probably had this cancelled song laying around, he must have decided to include it in Sonic 3, in what is considered the fan favorite level of Sonic 3.

There's your Music trivia. :V
