I remember that the forum temporarily disabled the ability to make new user accounts when there was a really bad flood of spambots, so proletariats were able to get a hold of them.

Considering there is a giant flood currently going around, maybe you want to do that again? Especially as it would give time to repair the forum, as a whole lot is still not functioning properly after it broke down a while ago.

During the Post Clyve incident, we had a situation wherein the forum displayed results that seemed incorrect because some sort of internal configuration didn't keep up. One of the proletariats deleted something unrelated some time later and it seemed to fix it. Is there any way to replicate that?

What was going on with Clyve is that so many posts were removed at once that the forum sorta glitched out and put you back however many posts he made in that topic. Deleting another post fixed that. The problem this time is that deleting the post makes a ghost post, instead of subtracting twice as many posts as nessicary.

Yeah, that bootleg forum-fixin' technique doesn't work for the current situation.
