Hey guys!
So I did some thinking, and I realized there's one aspect of Earthbound that I haven't emphasized at all yet: the music! Kind of surprising, since it's one of my favorite things about the game.
To enrich the experience of this LP, I'll be editing music into old episodes where I can find relevant samples, and I'll be sure to include it into future episodes as well!
Also, when I've finished all of the editing, I'll put up a post compiling all of the music up to the current episode(so you don't have to go hunting through my old posts just to listen to some music).
I strongly recommend taking a listen, this game has some seriously great music.
Here's an example: Pollyanna, the track that plays in Marc's home.

Geez Louise, it's hard find all the soundtracks for this game. But I found two people on YouTube who, when combined, should have all the tracks I need. Some tracks have already been inserted into the first few episodes, with more to come. I also inserted the opening cinematic for the game into the OP. The current plan is to finish inserting the soundtracks this weekend and hopefully get out a new episode as well. I'm really hoping this schedule doesn't change because I have the perfect episode planned for a Halloween release. Those of you who have beaten this game/played a good bit into it should know what I'm talking about.

Sorry, sorry! I said I'd have all the music done by this weekend and I was super sure that was going to happen and then band took longer than anticipated and then I was super tired afterwards. Oh, and then I had to study for a test. Yeah, busy weekend.
HOWEVER
I'm still diligently working on getting it done(and crying through the longer episodes ;_; ). Expect it to be done by tonight or maybe tomorrow afternoon AT THE LATEST. As an added incentive for your patience, I have a surprise I'm going to prepare once the music's all done!

OK, soundtracks have been implemented into each of the old episodes, and will be added from here on out to new ones! Most tracks are from Starmen.net, but I had to put in some Youtube links for a couple tracks I wanted that they don't have, and one track in particular I had to use a YouTube link for because of wordfilters.
I decided not to add overly redundant tracks to the episodes. For instance, if I go to someplace new and play the track for it, and then go back to that same place in the same episode, I won't add the track again. Also, if you notice any mistakes or if any of the links stop working, let me know and I'll fix it.
Someone's Knocking at the Door and Pokey's at the Door are essentially the same track, but the latter has no background music and plays when you head downstairs and approach the door when Pokey is knocking.
Whoa! and Pokey play one right after another when you open the door for Pokey.

Double posting because I don't play by yo rules.
Hey guys! Welcome to Earthbound Extra: Volume One!
I really want you all to have the full Earthbound experience, so I decided to add this segment along with the regular LP. These will be added at the end of each Chapter, so this one will be for Chapter One.
Here how it works: I'll add some trivia related to Earthbound in these segments: One piece of trivia about the history of Earthbound's series(yes, it's a series), and two pieces related to in-game details. With that said....
Earthbound Extra: Volume One
Earthbound Extra #1: Earthbound is actually the second game in the Mother series. The first game in the series, appropriately titled Mother, was created by Shigesato Itoi, and it released for the Famicom(the Japanese NES) on July 27, 1989. According to Itoi, the name Mother was chosen because he wanted a name that sound as little like a game as possible. Yeah, figure that one out. The name was also inspired by John Lennon's 1970 song Mother. Mother was an RPG, like Earthbound, and had very similar game mechanics. The story of the game is about a young boy named Ninten(subtle...), who must travel to various places with his friends and collect melodies....to defeat...an evil....alien. Sounds familiar, doesn't it? Well, that's because the plots of Mother and Earthbound, or Mother 2 in Japan, are connected(probably a good thing, considering they're from the same series). But that's for another time. Mother was a success in Japan, selling about 400,000 copies. Also it has the best commercial ever:
Simply beautiful.
.....Wait a second. That song is oddly familiar. Oh, right! That song was used in one of the tracks for Earthbound! Brownie points if you can name which one! Hint: It's in Episode Seven.
Earthbound Extra #2: Did you know that the soundtrack Home Sweet Home(Pollyanna) has lyrics? The soundtrack to the original Mother was composed by Keiichi Suzuki and Hirokazu Tanaka, and a select number of their compositions for the game were released as a vocal album by CBS/Sony on August 29, 1989. The track in question is known as Pollyanna(I Believe in You), and was sung by Catherine Warwick in the English version. Have a listen:
Earthbound Extra #3: If you couldn't already tell, I really like Earthbound's soundtrack. But there's more to this eclectic mix than meets the eye. Earthbound's music alone takes up EIGHT MEGABITS of space in the game's cartridge. To compare:
Super Mario World(as in the entire game): 4 Megabits Actraiser(as in the ENTIRE game): 8 Megabits Final Fantasy IV(AS IN THE ENTIRE FREAKING GAME): 8 Megabits
According to Shigesato Itoi in a Famitsu interview, if released as a full album, the music of Earthbound would have filled two CD's at the time. So how much data did the whole game use? TWENTY-FOUR FREAKING MEGABITS.

I like the term "No crying until the end", but that commercial was cheesy as hell to me, then again it's 1898, guess I'm just not used to those older, sillier commercials...
