Hey look who I found.

Hi! Thanks for letting me know I got top comment, lol
Too bad you're wrong about Gen 1. You were a generic Seel/fish/whatever Pokemon sprite then.
IN YOUR FACE.

Bullshit Hawaii gets its own goddamn fucking pattern.
So far at least. Most of them seem to be found in multiple places, so I'm sure there's at least one place that gets that one too.

i haven't found one yet but wow i want one of each :c utterly impossible though, i don't know anyone in taiwan or like half the other ones.
theoretically i could get a mexico one in only a few hours' drive but i don't think "i would like to catch a pokemon" is a good enough excuse for border patrol when i don't have a passport
It's by the location setting in the 3DS, not by like GPS. You can just trade scatterbugs from people in wondertrade or GTS to get them all. The pattern is determined by the game it is caught in or bred from.

So I heard a rumor that Pokemon with high friendship have a chance to avoid fainting and ignore status effects.
True or Horseshit?
Not friendship. Affection, which is a completely separate thing. Affection is a new stat in Pokemon-amie where you have to 'level it up" from 0 hearts to 5. Think of it as the opposite of the Shadow Meter from Colo and XD. The more affection hearts your Pokemon has, the more likely they are to feel the effects, such as self-curing status conditions, avoiding getting knocked out, avoiding attacks, and landing critical hits.
It also changes the dialogue in battle, like if your Pokemon is in the red it'll "look like it's about to cry" and if you heal it it'll be "thrilled to bits"
Your trainer dialogue even changes, like when they knock out a Pokemon you say stuff like "I'm proud of you"
It's a bit of work to max out affection, but the results are worth it.
Also, as far as we know currently, affection does not seem to decay over time, and we're unsure if you can undo affection or not. People are testing it out with things such as bitter medicine and trading and hitting them/dropping the food in Amie to see if anything works, but I dunno what the results are.
