So he could be more powerful than the real Dirk due to Jake believing him to be a very powerful and cunning player.

This power fits his class though, so it could very well be something he can actually do, or in the very least, a more powerful outcome of real Dirk's powers.

Cue the butthurt readers complaining that Dirk continues to be overpowered.

Hah, same could be said about Aranea but that's mostly gone for now so I'm sure Dirk will get some slack soon.

Also, I theorise that if the Ring of Life prevents Aranea's soul from fully leaving the body due to its healing powers, Dirk could be ruthless enough to do this for an extended period of time.

That way, he could torture Aranea until her mind snaps and she's a much lesser threat.
Or a bigger threat but I think Aranea's mind is one of her best strengths, so with that cracked, her effectiveness would likely go down.
