Alright, come on people. Let's focus on the game at hand, not on the past.

The raven's at no fault here, they just had to make a guess. They're town-sided anyway: lynching them, if we could find them, is counter-productive. At this stage of the game we can't even count it as anything but forced conjecture, so I say we set it aside for now. I don't think Cori or Barabba are good targets myself, but I'm not seeing many who really are at this point. Let's take a look at posts and see what comes up as fishy.

If there is a scapegoat, he dies and then choose who can and cannot vote the next day. If there isn't, the captain has to choose between the players at the top.

Honestly, between both cori and the raven, I'd be more suspicious of anyone deciding to vote with either of them rather than the individuals in question.

The Raven probably just had to choose someone to throw a vote for, and it happened to be
cori. It no less trivial than any day one lynch, or night one mafia kill. It's just...someone has to get thrown under the bus for the game to get started. Luckily, like the case with the village chief, it's something insignificant. It's a single vote. At least it wasn't a full on power use to get you murdered.

With that, though, I completely understand Cori's concern. Shit, I was the one to bring it up. Cori doesn't want to be lynched, which he would if the end of the day came by and he was the only vote up there. Were he me, I'd want to vote someone as quickly as possible to keep it at a stalemate so I don't accidentally get lynched. Why he picked Barabba specifically I don't know, but the core motive was to keep the lynch votes tied to not accidentally lynch someone through inactivity. What we do now is try to figure out who we would like to lynch through the typical route: asking questions, defending ourselves, fingering our suspicions, and washing our hands afterwards.

Both the Raven, and Cori had to vote for someone on semi-trivial reasons, so the only baseless vote would be anyone voting with either of them now. I mean shit, the Raven had to pick somebody before the day even began, and Cori's just trying to save his own booty. The only people who would have a suspicious excuse would be the ones who bandwagon with them.

I think he said the captain appoints his successor. So let's say Kergan gets killed in the night. I'm not sure of the rules but he'll either PM Numberplay or put it in his dying post if that exists in this game.

I haven't even bothered to look back in the thread yet, are they voting along with either of them?

Also I'm not saying "Those guys need to be lynched!" simply that they'd be more suspicious votes than anything the Raven, or Cori would make. It's more a statement at how not suspicious their votes are.

Not voting but definitely pushing, Kergan to a mildly suspicious point if you ask me.

It would question how confident we're gonna be in future town leaders if a slight suspicion is enough to warrant a lynch. Then again, making him the town leader was just as rash. I'd be more comfortable in both Kergan and Ycobb going more over why they decided to start pushing for the raven/cori vote than to outright start voting for them ourselves. We wouldn't be any better than how we're claiming they are.
