Must have been my drug addict twin brother, Narcato.

We get mixed up all the time.

I'm disappointed to see that Bolin is still solely the gag guy. Hopefully we'll see some development for him later down the line.
Also, am I the only one disappointed in them for using the overused overprotective dad trope?

I am really hoping Bolin will be more than just the comedic relief. Every scene he was in so far this season has consisted of him being used for laughs.

I'd also enjoy it if finally Korra would show some thought and actual focus on spirituality instead of just going avatar state, touching the thing and boom yay everything's great.

So did we find out what this season is going to be about going by the first episode? What's the big problem that will stretch over the episodes?

They don't actually make that clear until the end of the second episode. I'm hoping things pick up after this, it was nice seeing the characters again but I don't feel like there were any actual character moments, just a lot of set-up.

So, is Makorra just as vomit-inducing as it was in the last season?

At the moment, yeah. Mako's role is just The Boyfriend now, and Korra ends every conversation with everyone (very much including Mako) by storming off. Holding out for more character development, hopefully this is just the writers speeding things along to set everything up.

Just what I guessed; everything I've seen about the new season of LOK says that Korra's being a huge bitch and didn't learn anything at all from the last season, and mako's uninteresting as always.

Disappointed in how annoying the twins are
Their voices are too high and robotic

But I think it's cool that the antagonist is basically a paladin

it looks like the main story is gonna end up having to be about korra going around the world and fixing the points where the spirit realm touches the real world
assumedly at some point she's gonna really for major fuck up and have to learn a lot about the spiritual side of bending
