Which sentai shows would you recommend for a newbie? Are there any cool ones out right now? Or maybe a past series that was really good?

I'd advise you to watch Gokaiger. Why? Because you learn a ton of things about ALL THE SENTAI THAT CAME BEFORE.

I never thought Id be excited for Fruit Samurai but goddamnit Wizard you drove me to hate you.

So I've been watching Gokaiger, and I must say that I'm really enjoying it so far. The fight scenes never get old, what with their pirate fighting style and the Sentai Changing. However, does every villain need to turn big? That never works! Though, I do remember that as a kid, I watched power rangers and was bored out of my mind until the megazord came on the screen. Also, Captain Marvelous is the best name.

TOEI JAPAN IS!!! BRINGIing tokusatsu to its US channel, and they're even airing the old stuff oh my god what a great time to be alive
i know no group is ever going to subtitle jakq but this means i'll actually be able to watch it oh my god it means I'll probably have to pay for the channel but omg i'm actually really pop flyin' to be able to watch some stuff legitimately

Apparently after showing to the Japanese in the us for about a year or so, it'll open more to the public, from what it seems to me. So if you have interest once the time comes, please show it! go look at the information, and if you have the funds to spare, don't be afraid to pay some cheddar for the service since that'll be the case, kinda like with crunchyroll. I wouldn't think it would be too exhorbitant, though.

Still watchin' Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger. My feelings on GokaiSilver are mixed. On one hand, his personality's great for the character he is, just pure enthusiasm and determination while trying too hard to look cool, but on the other, his Gold Mode is like, "Going Full Mary Sue."

Jealoushitto's episodes are the best.

Gai is a perfect child and don't let anyone tell you otherwise

So far I've been enjoying Kamen Rider Wizard a ton. It helps that everyone's pretty likeable straight from the beginning.

Grrr, 35 episodes in to Gokaiger, and I'm just now learning that I have to watch the movies as well. THANKS FOR THE MEMO
