"Maybe you didn't take it from Punchy."

"Care to explain? Or are we just wasting more time that we could be using to find a murderer?"

"What if the medicine itself is a Red Herring?"

"Like the cuts in Bud's door last trial."

"I'm not sure how to explain how Whitney was drugged though if that's the case..."

"No one else knew about that map," Whitney growled. "The three of us found that map--you, me, and Cranston. We let Cranston keep the map. And then it ends up at my house. No one else could have made the connection between myself and the map." She turned her head to glare at Isabelle. "Show me that feather!" she demanded. "Is it white? Purple? Blue?!"

"NO ONE else knew? Not one Villager could have seen us carrying that map around town? Not even the elusive Mayor? Please forgive my skepticism...."

"And I thought you were going to explain where I got the medicine from, if not from Punchy."

"No one will be seeing that feather. And don't bother asking Isabelle... clearly the shock of Cranston's death has... muddled her memory of it... isn't that so, Isabelle?"

"I'm sorry Whitney... we have to find another way..."

"......I'd like to give my testimony now. Maybe then our lupine friend will be satisfied with my innocence."

Pierce glances at Whitney.

"Is that agreeable to you?"

"Whatever," Whitney sneered.




I am 1000% done with this trial.

OK, I'm wanting this case to end, too, so Imma give my testimony now. Kamak can make it official later or whatever, but let's just get this over with.

Pierce's Testimony

"I think I'll do something a little.....non-traditional for this testimony."

"My alibi is....that I went home after walking Whitney to her house, simple as that. If no one can counter that claim, then it stands as truth until shown otherwise."

"But now I have a question for you all."

"Whitney seems rather intent on pinning the murder on me, but is that even possible?"

"To suspect someone requires two things: Motive and ability."

"I had absolutely no motive to kill Cranston. In fact, quite the opposite! Why on Earth would I kill him? We had no personal quarrel. And don't you dare try to say it was to escape this town. That makes everyone equally suspicious. If you're suggesting I'm a murderer, why didn't I kill Coco, for instance? Her house is the closest to mine, meaning it would have been less likely for me to be caught. Cranston's house is clear across town from mine. Seems rather inconvenient, no? "

"Additionally, I'm not even CAPABLE of being the murderer! What would I have used to kill him? All of my potential weapons have been completely untouched. Check my house, I dare you!"
