He's pretty great. He's a teensy bit funny looking, but it's not like Matt Smith wasn't.

I like that they're going back to older, more experienced actors. I guess they figured that if they continued the trend of YOUNGER YOUNGER YOUNGER they'd have to cast a 12 year old.

I was disappointed that the new doctor was white and male but at the same time I honestly wasn't that surprised.

SOmeone needs to go find the Tumblrrage over the fact the Doctor is white, male, and straight.

I actually sort of wanted Helen Mirren to get the role.

I don't really see the point in raging over it. Like I said, yeah, I was kinda disappointed, but it's pretty well known that Moffat is kind of shitty at casting roles. He picked Karen Gillan because she was tall and slim and red-headed.
