"And, again, where did you see this?"

Diana turns to face Cranston.
"On the ground outside Re-Tail."

"And you didn't alert anyone that he was there?"

"It was late at night! I didn't want to risk my own life if the killer found me while I was doing that."

"Diana, I'm going to ask you two questions, can you answer them for me?
1. What was your reason for going out to the Re-Tail, a place that closes at night (I'm presuming), during a thunderstorm?
2. Did you really see footprints belonging to a bird near the Re-Tail?"

"I thnk she meant the footprints at the riverbank, hawkeye."

"Diana, what were you doing at Re-Tail at midnight? It's quite a bit away from your house, mrmpht."

"I was really intent on finding the lockpicks. I used them to unlock the first lock of Whitney's book for her earlier the other day, and I wanted to get to the mystery behind it..." Diana mutters, "I knew I should've kept them with me."

"So why did you decide to do this at night?"

"Because that was when I found it replaced with the bone, at night. I had searched for the lockpicks in my house for quite a while, and by the time I had basically flipped my house upside down and found nothing, the storm was raging outside. So, I decided to wait it out until it started calming down a little bit. Eventually, I got tired of waiting, so I decided to do one careful sweep of the town."

"When everything is closed and no one is around to help? Where exactly were you looking?"
