Pierce seemed surprised as Whitney approached Bud's house.

"Fancy meeting you here, rookie."

He look her in the eyes.

"Are you nervous?"

Once Tom Nook disappeared, Cranston turned to Punchy. "Hmm...I can't think of anything we could use as a substitute. Maybe dry dirt? Let's head back to the...scene, for now. We ought to check in and see what still needs to be looked at."

My effect is to get one correct piece of information on bodies, so I should take a look anyway

"Considering someone was murdered last night, I think I have a right to be nervous," Whitney sniffed, looking haughty--and defensive. "What about you? You're the one who talked about having an alibi last night when we parted ways." She started poking around Bud's bed, pulling the covers aside and checking under the bed as well.

Punchy doesn't look dissapointed. "Something tells me we wouldn't find anything in there, anyway," he says, turning to Cranston. "We should check out Bud's house if we don't get any leads."

Pierce examines the door closer.

Umm....how do I use my effect?

"....I was hoping we wouldn't need one, yet here we are. You don't have to worry, though. We may have been near the scene of the crime, but there's evidence everyone holds that will clear both of our names."

Pierce looks deep in thought.

"It's strange, though.... Did you get a chance to read the murder notes yet, sport? Bud was killed around midnight. Why didn't we see his body in front of Joe's house? We were there around that time too."

"Indeed, but I should take a look at the...body before we go anywhere else. We had to deal with injuries of all sorts at my Nest of The Phoenix, if there's anywhere I'll be useful in the investigation it's there, unfortunately."

"Do you think he could have been dragged to the riverbank after he had been killed?" Whitney asked. "The notes said there were signs of a struggle, but the only sign of that was the dirt nearby, and that shovel...but Bud's front door is all beat up too.

"He obviously wasn't there before we arrived, and since we both know we're not the killers, it's only logical that he was moved in front of Joe's house after we left."

"All right," Punchy nodded.

So he had blood around his mouth and under his eye where he was stabbed... But why would there be blood around his mouth? If he died instantly he shouldn't have been coughing up blood. Perhaps it's the killers? But how could we find out... Well the knife may hold a few clues at least. Let's take a look at that.

Punchy looks to be bugged about something, but he immediately shakes it off (bodaciously, he shakes his head quickly before following Cranston back to Bud's body.)
"So, what are we going to do first?"

"…alright." Diana nods, before going to do some investigation herself. "Hmmm…is dusting for prints really gonna work…?" She asks the animals currently gathered around the body.

Pierce looks up as if he just realized something.

"I'm going back to the crime scene!"

He rushes back to where Bud's body laid and examined the signs of a struggle.

Am I allowed to use my effect again, Kamak?

The knife is a standard chef knife that you'd find in a kitchen.

Now that people have gathered around the body once again, Tom Nook comes over with something.



"Hey you bastards. I figured I'd offer you a bit of a gift to help out with sorting out this... terrible accident... upupu..."

"But I'm not sure which of these would be useful to you..."

He holds out three items: a can of plaster, a can of glitter, and a yo-yo.

"I think you can make do with one of these, but what will you take, upupu?"
