1. Link's Awakening. The first videogame that made me cry... Noooo, Marin!!!!! *weep*
2. Link to the Past. I wish the new games would move closer to this.
3. Legend of Zelda. Ah yes, the original.

Sadly, I haven't been very impressed with any of the later games. I was not a huge fan of the way that Ocarina of Time was handled, by reducing dungeons to cliche forest level, volcano level, water level, etc archetypes. And now almost every game since has basically been a carbon copy of Ocarina of Time. It's becoming very disappointing.

My favorite Zelda game would definitely be Link's Awakaning. It was my first Zelda game and I would replay it a thousand times. It had one of the best plots with a nice mix of humor and seriousness.

Wind Waker's style was what made it so enjoyable. Link has a lot of personality in this game. The plot was pretty dark even if it didn't show. I think the dungeons are way too easy but it's okay.

Majora's Mask comes after. As always the plot is a very big selling point for me.

See, you need to remember that this is RNF talking. Therefore, what he actually means is that Zelda 1 and 2 are the worst of the games.
LTTP is probably just a typo.

hahaha

NO

I mean it when I say 1 and 2 are the best along with LTTP.

Every series needs a black sheep, Zelda 2 is the PERFECT black sheep. It tried something different, and it was amazing. Challenging, lots to explore, and classic Zelda characters and baddies seen in an entirely new way. Great controls, great music, and great level design.

Zelda 1 is very basic, but very good. It's great in every category. LTTP took everything good about Zelda 1, did it better, and added more things to do and more items and weapons to use. How awesome was it when you got your first tempered sword? It was the best feeling in the world. The mirror shield was absolutely amazing, and the later games not including it was bullshit.

Now I shall rant about LoLz:Toilet Paper (see what i did there?)

LoLz:Toilet Paper is an abomination. It features barely any items and equipment, stale environments, and atrocious music that makes your ears bleed. There is no difficulty whatsoever, a mentally retarded person with one hand could complete this game with that hand tied behind their back and blindfolded, with just 3 hearts, because he will never get hit thanks to the super easy mode god shield that makes you never take damage which makes combat a joke. Hold down your target button and waggle your wiimote to victory through the most boring dungeons and the emptiest overworld you will ever see. Wolf form is the biggest gimmick the Zelda series has ever seen. Oh, joy! Instead of waggling my wiimote to swing my sword around, I get to waggle and swing my jaw around! BORING. All wolf form serves is to complete gimmick encounters and dig up gimmick holes. The item selection is just pathetic. What happened to all the good items? Two shields? Two swords? One armor that serves no extra protection and is only used to breath underwater, then you get the MOST AWESOME looking armor in the game...... and guess what? IT REQUIRES FUCKING RUPEES TO KEEP POWERED, OR ELSE IT IS UTTERLY USELESS, and that's after shelling out thousands of rupees to get the store open THEN BUY the fucking armor. The idiot thought that would be a good idea needs to be fed to some octoroks, he/she completely ruined the coolest armor in the series. Where is the cube cane? Swirly shield cane? The invisibility cloak? ice rod? fire rod? the medallions to fire off wicked magic bombardments? THE PEGASUS BOOTS TO DASH AROUND? Hammer? What we get in place of all of those cool items are gimmick items that only find use in the dungeon they are found in, a couple useless places in the overworld, and a couple places in the final palace. Fishing was done terribly. There is no good reward for spending countless hours with that boring nonsense. Take a hint from Dark Cloud 2 if you want an amazing Fishing mini game with good rewards.

The rest of the Zelda games are simply mediocre piles of average and Zelda fans overrate them to astronomical levels.

Again, your entire argument is based off personal taste.

Personally, I turned LoZ 2 off after ten minutes. I thought it was horrible. I'm not going to say people are stupid because they like it though.

I've barely played zelda II, but I wouldn't call it bad, yet I definitely wouldn't put it anywhere near my top zelda lists. It was trying to be different, yeah, but i think it just went a little to far.

The only Zelda I could play and was kind of good at was Four Swords, and I had like 3 others to play with.

The rest, are good, but they aren't my cup of tea. The farthest single player one I did was Majora's Mask. THE TIME LIMIT. IT BURNS.

My entire argument is not based off personal taste. I've told you exactly what makes the game so horrible, these are facts I'm giving you

Go play Zelda 2 some more, you can't form an opinion on a game in just 10 minutes, you actually have to beat it before you can say anything about the quality of the game.

My favorites:
1.Majora's Mask
2.Twilight Princess
3.Minish Cap
4.Wind Waker
5.OoT

I have played, and replayed MM more times than any other game I own. I love collecting all the masks, all the side stories that tie into the main story, and trying to do as much as I can before I have to go back.

Twilight Princess is an incredible game. Anyone who says otherwise is missing something. I loved the dark and eerie style, it was a nice change. I enjoyed solving the temples immensely and the story was one of the best zelda plots, personally.

Minish Cap was great for the humor and like in MM how everyone was connected in a way. It had many unique and innovative spelunking equipment such as the gust jar, the cane of pacci, and the mole claws and had very different boss battles. (Like the chuchus. Whod expect a nothing monster could be a boss like that?)

Wind Waker I enjoyed because of the graphic style and the camera -> statue thing. I worked trying to 'catch em all' and got pretty far though never finished >.> The only problem I had was how it took so long to get anywhere. Sailing was relaxing but it just took a long time.

OoT was a great game and my first time playing it i was horrified of many stupid things, like entering Dodongos Cavern, Skeleton kids, and like likes. I was always scared of the shadow temple but when I replayed it years later I saw what a fool I was. heh. It's a great game but I think it's just lost its feel on me. When I play it, I don't know why but, it just doesn't feel as it did before.

*edit* apparently i cant count to 5

I mean to butt in here, but your making yourself look like a right douche.

Everything is personal opinion. You may think there's not enough weapons, but someone else does. You think the enviroments are shit, but someone else may like them.

PERSONAL OPINION.

And yes, you can form an opinion in the first ten minutes. For instance, in the first ten minutes of Bioshock, I thought it was going to be scary. I was right! The first ten minutes are what pull you in to keep playing.

I have to agree with RabidNintendoFanboy when it comes to Twilight Princess.
It's gimmicky, filled with useless weapons, and the plot isn't sound. It's also really really really easy.

There are no Octorocks or Moblins which I think are a sin to keep out of a Zelda game. They've been in every game except for Twilight Princess.
The bosses were epic the first time around but if you go play it again you notice how "Bleh" and uncreative they actually are. Why do so many of them have the eye for a weakness? And what's with "Armogohma?" Talk about anti-climactic and boring.
My biggest dissapointment really was the plot and characters. The plot is choppy and filed with holes. The characters don't develop well at all.

I think the graphics and environments were nice but that's about it. Although I have to admit I also liked the music and the dungeons themes (the mansion and Temple of Time Stages looked and sounded great).

I also have to agree with him when it comes to Zelda II.
Zelda II was incredibly hard but it tried to innovate. Sure it didn't do too well (which is for the best since they went back to Zelda I format) but it was still fun.
I really enjoyed myself when I played Zelda II. It was a frustrating journey but I finally managed to beat it. It was one of the greatest joys seeing that short ending screen and I might try it again in the future.
Also, Link kisses Zelda at the end...
