from what i can gather, it's released EST for america
because A) america has just one eshop
and B) it means people on EST don't have to wait until 2am

I remember the eShop shitstorm a couple of years ago when the thing wasn't released until pacific time (likely because NoA is in Redmond Washington more than anything), and pacific time people were saying that it "leveled the playing field".

Of course, this was also the same site where Californians threw a shit fit over Brawl's midnight release for being 2-3 hours behind most of the US...

I'm so pop flyin' to be on AZ now.

And I hope you're right Galaxy. It'd be great to get the game at 11pm. Let's just hope their servers are ready for this.

Also, anyone else think it strange that New Leaf costs $35? For as much hype as this game has and as much as people want it, I'm really surprised they haven't been pushing $40.

Is this possibly a sign that they're trying to bring it back down off the straight $40 system?
