AWKWARD ZOMBIE

((A bot bumped this horrible, unplanned mess, lock please.))

So I've been wanting to do this with one of my friends for a while on something like Twitch, but none were really that interested, so I thought "What the hell I'll just make a thread"

I know there was an older thread for fan-fics or something like that, but it's been long kaput due to the owner losing interest, so I'm just gonna...sneak in here...and take a go at it myself.

Now, Sonic the Hedgehog...lets face it, he's went through some shit that most video game characters would probably die from...well, technically he DID die, but main-character immunity got the best of the franchise and the Chaos Emeralds pretty much once again did all the real work here, then Sonic gets turned into an abomination of a Werehog in a mediocre adventure(that I sorta like) in Sonic Unleashed, but he has been having a good run of luck with his latest adventures, Sonic: Hippy Bracelets and Sonic "Safety in nostalgia"

Now, the Sonic community is HUGE, It's grown rather large since Sonic's debut on the Genesis, and while he really isn't of high quality like back then(Sonic:Lost Worlds might change that!), the fanbase is still going strong, with some devoted to recording the history of Sonic the Hedgehog and even making some really cool tributes to the blue blur.

But sadly, there is a darker side of the void, one where people choose to write Fan-fics and create OTP's(do not steal), I will be showing off some of these lovely stories(satanic rituals), starting with a Crossover...which will be in the next post!

PART ONE
Sonic gone splicing

So one of my favorite FPS' like ever is probably Bioshock, hell, Bioshock Infinite is slowly changing that, but apparently some other Sonic fan agreed and went on to take two things that don't mix and try and make them mix...oh boy, it's time for a Sonic X Bioshock Crossover...
Keep note that I'll fix any errors I see with red.

On one fine summer evening, Sonic and his closest friends, Tails, Knuckles, and Amy were preparing for a trip to Europe. They were all nearly done and ready to leave in the morning. Sonic then said, "Okay guys I think we should get a good night's rest. We've got to get up early tomorrow morning." Amy nodded in agreement. After they finished packing, they headed to bed to prepare for their day of traveling tomorrow.

So here we have a typical opening, instead of Sonic just running across the world, or taking his fucking biplane, they choose to instead take a plane to...wherever the fuck they're going, the current party I believe now is the original trio and Amy.

The next day, Sonic woke up around 7 and got everyone else up to be ready for their day. "So what is the agenda today Sonic," Tails asked. Sonic looked at the tickets to check the times of their flights. "Let's see," Sonic answered looking at the tickets. Our first flight from here is at 10 and that will take us to New York. That is going to be about a 4 hour flight. Then we wait about another 2 hours for our next flight and then we have another 8 hour flight or so and we will land at our destination. "Oh this is so exciting," said Amy with great excitement.

Right, so apparently they're headed to New York or Empire City or something, I seriously doubt that Sonic would survive the trip without getting impossibly bored or just jumping out of the fucking plane. Besides, he did something like this before. Also, Amy, you apparently haven't sat around for like, 4 hours, it gets BORING.

After hours of traveling it was getting late into the night. Amy, Tails, and Knuckles were fast asleep. Sonic was still wide awake. He looked to his left and saw his best friend Tails asleep on the window. He thought about all the adventures they've gone through. He then looked to his right and looked at Amy sleeping on his side. He remembered when they first met and when he rescued her for the first time. Then he looked over at Knuckles whose head was looking up and his mouth was open. Sonic smiled and shook his head in humor. He remembered when they were first enemies, but then became good pals.

While I like how Sonic uses his time alone to remember the good ol' days, it's kinda been done before in a little game called Sonic Adventure, but still, it's a neat idea in my opinion, I also like how he actually put a bit of detail into how they sleeped on the trip, that was a neat touch.

The plane started shaking and alert signs went on. Those asleep woke up. Tails freaked out and said, "what's going on Sonic?" "I don't know," answered Sonic. The mic then came on saying, "Attention passengers. We are having technical difficulties and need to make an emergency crash in the ocean." "THE OCEAN!," replied Sonic. He began to freak out. The mic came back on saying to brace for impact.

To be honest, there really isn't much I can say here other than oh shit where's the bubble shield.

The plane crashed into the ocean violently, breaking into multiple parts. The first to rise to the surface was Tails. He looked around for any survivors and shouted, "AMY! KNUCKLES! SONIIIIIIIC!" There was no response. Then behind him rose Knuckles from the water gasping for breath. He then said, "Tails you alright? Where's Sonic and Amy?" "I don't know," responded Tails.

Cool thing is that Tails can actually swim in Sonic 3, if that was intentional, nice job. :I

Beneath the surface Amy woke up from being knocked out by the impact. She shook her head in confusion. The first thing she saw was Sonic flopping his arms around as he sunk down. She came into realization and started to swim down and grabbed him. Sonic was still flopping like crazy while Amy swam up to the surface with him. They both gasped up for breath when they reached the surface. "Wow thank you Amy," said Sonic. Amy giggled and said, "no problem."

To be perfectly honest, if this was the start of a decent Adventure game, I'd be pretty OK with it...wait where's the shittiness?! GIVE ME MATERIAL DAMMIT!

Amy then heard her name called and looked to see Tails and Knuckles waving. She waved back and swam up to them while holding Sonic. "What do we do now," said Sonic while trying to keep his head up. Tails looked around and noticed what appeared to be a lighthouse. "Hey check that out," point to the lighthouse in a distance, "let's head over there." They all began to swim towards the lighthouse while Amy kept Sonic supported up.

Ok, so far the story is kind of...bleh, the whole premise of Sonic taking an Airline instead of his own daisies plane is still questionable, but I really can't complain much about the later half, let me say that I like the idea of Adventures form of story-telling, as I like to see Sonic characters developed a bit, but I still like the classic style a million times here, and to be honest, I think this fanfic does a good job of keeping the characters personalities than some 10 year olds stupid fanfic of his OC.

Don't start thinking I like this thing as a whole, oh no, we're gonna get into some shit later.

I've been doing smart, healthy things with my life, time for me to find something like this, I guess.

Also this story can get very weird in very many ways, I forsee.

I'm just gonna take that as a compliment...or something.

The next update will be tommorow, keep in mind this fanfic was kinda stopped at the 3rd chapter, so this one won't be huge, I'll try to find a full one in the future, then I can get a full opinion on one of these fanfics.

I thought your commentary was funny, especially the part where you mentioned that bodaciously the first thing he does in SA2 is jump off a form of air travel.
I wonder how the hell Sonic is going to do Bioshock things? Rapture/Columbia don't have any loopty-loops.

PART TWO
Lets go to Rapture in an entire chapter, yeesh.

So in our last part, we pretty much saw a decent-enough beginning, but lets get into the actual story instead of just messing around here.

BWOH FUCK NEW WRITING FORMAT HERE

The gang finally reached the steps of the lighthouse. They took a second to catch their breath. Sonic was coughing some water out of his throat.

"Thanks for the assist Amy," Sonic said while catching his breath.

Amy giggled and nodded with happiness.

Tails still breathing pretty heavy said, "Let's start heading up these stairs."

Sonic didn't cough out the water earlier? Sonic...do you have a bubble shield in your throat?
Ok, so apparently we're finally at the oh-so beloved lighthouse that now defines the series, lets see how this goes...

The others nodded in agreement and got up and began walking up. It wasn't a really long flight of stairs. Within a minute or so, they reached the end of the stairs. The gang quickly noticed a big door at the end of the stairs. Sonic went to the door and pushed on it. The door wouldn't budge. Knuckles realized this and helped him push on the door. Their strength together pushed the door open slowly, but surely. When the door was opened enough, they went inside.

The lighthouse was completely dark. The only light inside was the light from the moon and fire outside. The group continued down the stairs in the lighthouse. As they continued, lights suddenly came on. The sudden lights scared Amy and she jumped. Sonic shock his head and kept walking. At the end of the path there was a submarine floating on the water.

Oh shit, Sonic SHOCKED HIMSELF!
Oh, wait, that's kinda for later. So here we have a small change from the original Bioshock script, we don't see the oversized statue of Andrew Ryan, I was starting to think at this point that the writer was trying to include some bits of originality and tell the original Bioshock in an interesting new way since we have the king of speed here. Better be seeing some speed here soon dammit.

Tails said, "Well, what are we waiting for?"

Sonic hesitated and said, "Um we're not going into the ocean are we?"

Tails nodded and said, "This is a one way Sonic and this is on the one way path."

Teasing him, Knuckles said, "You're not scared are you Sonic?"

"What," Sonic said, "No of course not."

"Then what are we waiting for," Knuckles asked.

Ya know Tails, or Knux, you can always try and fly away from the lighthouse, sure it's a long fly/glide, and hell Knux, with the bullshit you pulled in the movie(Check 23:47).

But seriously, Tails, think here for a sec, are you really going to try and take Sonic to the bottom of the ocean and risk being trapped in a worse scenario than you already are? I know Jack did it, but seriously, just use some doodad or machine you pulled out of your booty.

The group began to walk towards the submarine. Sonic was shaking with the fear of having to go into the water. He didn't care if he was safe in a submarine. The thought of being around water at all made him nervous. He feared that some leak would happen in the submarine. While his mind was thinking about this, Tails and Knuckles had already entered the submarine. It was Sonic's turn to get in. He shook as he tried to get in.

Behind him, Amy put her arm around him and said, "Don't worry Sonic. If you get scared, you can hold me as tight as you want."

Sonic looked at her with a scowl and said, "Err, no thanks I'm good."

Amy chuckled as Sonic began to get in. He began by putting one foot in. He was shaking even more. He was able to eventually convince himself to get inside the submarine. Once inside, he sat down and gave a sigh of relief. I'm finally in, he thought to himself. Amy followed behind and closed the door to the submarine. When she did, she sat next to Sonic and scooted herself closer to him. Sonic noticed this and scooted away from her to give himself some space. Amy then scooted herself closer to him again. Sonic knew he couldn't win this battle and gave up.

Ok, I like the touch of Amy once again messing with Sonic, I like Amy just for being the annoying character to Sonic, and I think they chose a good time to show off one of these moments.

Ya know, I wonder what game Sonic started getting his fear of water from to the point he never wants to go in it, probably Sonic X or something.

Once everyone was in, Tails pulled the lever in the middle of the submarine. Once he did, the submarine began to sink down. As they sank more and more, Sonic got more and more nervous. When they sank a certain distance, a screen came up in front of the glass. A video then began to play. It started with an advertisement.

Tails read the advertisement aloud, "'Fire at your finger tips.' Hmm sounds…interesting,"

Knuckles then said, "It sounds like a lot of bull to me."

The main video began and a voice was heard saying, "I am Andrew Ryan, and I am here to ask you a question. Is a man not entitled the sweat on his brow? No says the man in Washington it belongs to the poor. No says the man in the Vatican it belongs to God. No says the man in Moscow it belongs to everyone. I rejected those answers. Instead, I chose something different. I chose the impossible. I chose…Rapture."

At this point, the screen lowered showing buildings. They were buildings that were under the sea. Everyone but Sonic got up to check out the scenery. They gave oohs and ahhs. Sonic was in the back trying to keep his sanity.

Oh jesus christ, apparently the creator just doesn't have any originality now, other than the cute little Sonamy scenes and the characters talking to eachother.
Least this is almost over... I would've had it so that the Andrew Ryan screen never showed up, showing that Jack was already here, that'd been interesting to see how Rapture changed.

Amy looked back at Sonic from the glass and said, "Come on Sonic. You need to check this out."

Sonic shook his head and said, "No thanks I'm good."

Tails then looked back at him and said, "But you're missing out on something awesome."

Knuckles then turned around saying, "It's an entire city underwater. How can you not want to see this?"

Sonic replied, "I can see it from here. It looks neat."

They knew he was lying, but didn't say anything. They all looked back at the city under the ocean. Amy pointed at a whale swimming by. They gave more oohs and ahhs. They eventually reached a tube. As they went through, lights with words came on saying, "All good things flow into the city."

They reached the end of the tube and came to a complete stop. As they stopped, they began to rise for a few seconds and then stopped again. The gang looked outside and saw rubble and ruins all around.

"Well," said Tails, "Here we go."

And sadly that is where we end todays chapter in Sonics wonderful trek through Rapture, it's so great that we only now just reached the underwater city, time for the bad stuff to happen! Any time now fan-fic! Go on! Gimme 'yer worst shot!

One last thing to say, I'll get these off a number of sites, I won't reveal which sites or who the authors are, I'll also only do fan-fics that I know are complete and abandoned so the owner doesn't come up to me and demand that I don't ridicule his work because the internet is 100% totally UNDENIABLY like that.

PART THREE
"Please leave Rapture"

Tails began to reach for the lever. But before he could pull it, he heard a sound come from outside.

"Did you hear that?" Tails asked.

Sonic listened for the noise that Tails heard. It happened again. The noise then became more frequent and louder with each sound. Sonic and Tails looked out the window to see if they could find what was making the noise. There was nothing there. They both backed off from the window and looked towards Amy and Knuckles.

"Wonder what it was," Sonic wondered.

From where she was standing, Amy looked at the window. She noticed a strange shadow outside of the submarine. She froze for a moment at the sight.

"Um, guys?" Amy said.

Sonic looked at her, "What is it Amy?"

She pointed outside the window towards the shadow. The guys looked outside to see what she was pointing at. They froze at the sight of it too. Sonic and Tails backed away from the window towards Knuckles and Amy.

So we see the gang in a big sphere, isn't it hot in there?

"Is someone in there?" said the mysterious figure.

The figure had hooks for hands, but looked like an average human. The figure jumped on top of the submarine and began screaming. The figure began beating on the submarine loudly. Amy started to get scared. She grabbed onto Sonic's waist. Sonic put her behind him as in a way to protect her.

The person soon gave up and jumped off the submarine and ran away. Sonic looked out the window to see if the close was clear.

"Well," he said, "Whatever that was, it's gone now."

"What was that?" Tails asked.

Sonic shrugged, "I have no idea. But it's gone. And that's all that matters now."

"Let's get out of here before it comes back," Knuckles suggested.

The others agreed. Tails pulled the lever to open the door. But before they could leave, a voice came on the walkie talkie inside the sub.

"Hello, is someone there? Come in."

They looked back in the submarine. Tails noticed it was the walkie talkie and grabbed it.

Sigh...did they really have to copy the opening word for word? I liked the plane-at-night scene because it was different from the original game, and it hit some nice nostalgic points...this is just...bleh.

He responded, "Hello we read you."

"Oh thank God," said the man, "Thought you wouldn't survive that splicer attack."

They were all confused at the term splicer.

Confused, Tails asked, "Um, a splicer?"

The man answered, "They're basically the people of Rapture. People down here have pretty much gone psycho. They'll attack anyone that isn't their own unless provoked to do so. It's the daisies ADAM they consume."

Still confused at the term ADAM, Tails asked, "Um, what's this ADAM?"

The voice responded, "I'll explain when the time comes, but now you have to get out of there. It won't be long until the splicers return. If you can, find a weapon, a wrench, crowbar, gun, anything, you're going to need it. I'll contact you as soon as you get to safety. By the way I'm Jordon, Jordon Fontaine (Oh boy we know what's going to happen)."

"I'm Tails," Tails replied, "And my friends Sonic, Knuckles, and Amy."

"Nice to meet you, but this is no time for introductions. You have to get out of there."

"Okay we'll see what we can do."

"Good luck. You're gonna need it."

The man cut off from the walkie talkie. Tails looked up to the rest of the gang.

"Well," he said, "You heard him. Let's find a way out of here."

And here we enter some real horseshit, due to the fact this isn't Jack, Fontaine really doesn't need to hide his identity, while this makes sense, why the FUCK would the author give us a hint that this guy was gonna be evil? Are you telling me this is gonna be EXACTLY like Bioshock, just with SAHNIC THE HEDGEHOOG?!...sigh...what's the point then? GET INTERESTING!

They began to walk down the path filled with rubble and ruins. A giant support beam lay in the path. Tails and Knuckles jumped over it no problem. Sonic jumped on top of it and helped Amy up and over it. They soon came up to a door cover in rubble.

"Hmm," said Sonic, "There must be a way through this."

He looked around for a bit to find anything of use. His eyes soon spotted a wrench not lying far. He went up to it and picked it up.

"Yeah this'll work," He said to himself. He then said out loud, "Hey guys I found something we can u-"

There was suddenly a large crash sound. Sonic turned around the see what it was. It was Knuckles who had punched the rubble out of the way. Knuckles looked to him and smiled.

"I'm sorry what did you say?" He asked sarcastically.

Sonic scowled, "That, um, works too I guess."

Sonic held on to the wrench for just in case reasons. Behind the rubble was a fleet of stairs with a flaming sofa at the top. The gang began walking up the stairs. About half way, the flaming sofa fell down at them.

"HEADS UP," Shouted Sonic.

They all moved out of the way just in time to dodge it. The sofa fell down to the ground and laid there.

"That was close," said Knuckles.

Well...I'll admit, that little part with Knuckles was actually a clever move, but why're you taking that wrench, Sonic? Don't you have...oh I dunno, a homing attack and a spindash?

Whatever, not like Sonic has any armor or anything.

Sonic nodded, "Come on let's keep moving."

They soon reached this hall. Suddenly, a splicer came out of nowhere and ambushed them. He charged at them with a wrench. Timing his swing right, Sonic hit the splicer with his own wrench, taking him out in one hit.

"That's that," said Sonic.

On the second floor, Amy noticed a red glow.

"Hey guys check that out."

They looked up to see what it was.

"What is it?" Tails asked.

"Let's find out," Sonic replied.

They went up the nearby stairs the figure out the red glowing light. It turned out to be some kind of vending machine. On it was a container with a red liquid in it. They all stared at it in amazement.

Tails spoke into the walkie talkie, "Hey Jordon what's this container here. It's like a giant syringe with red liquid inside of it.

Jordon responded, "Ah, sounds like you got a plasmid there. Plasmids are basically powers you can give yourself. They change your genetic code and can give you all sorts of things. But they require EVE to keep them working. The one you have appears to be an electrobolt. If you're willing, one of you can inject yourself with it, but we warned that it can be very dangerous."

Jordon cut off again.

And then Fontaine became the most uninteresting character ever.
Also, by now I think the writer is just treating Sonic like Jack, Sonic seriously does NOT need a wrench here, he could have simply homing attacked that guy and it'd be more effective.

"Okay," said Tails, "Any volunteers?"

They all looked at each other with no response.

"I'll use it," Sonic replied.

Concerned, Tails asked, "You sure you want to do it?"

Sonic smiled, "Eh, what could happen?"

Tails handed him the plasmid and Sonic took it from his hand. Sonic injected himself with the plasmid. Amy flinched when he jabbed the needle into his arm. Sonic pushed onto the syringe and the red liquid entered his blood stream. When it was all in, Sonic pulled the needle out of his arm. Nothing happened.

Knuckles asked, "Well, how do you feel?"

Sonic shrugged, "Eh not much different."

Tails then said, "Maybe it takes a moment to take effect."

Tails wasn't wrong. Electricity soon surrounded Sonic's body. Sonic began to scream from the pain of the electricity.

"SONIC," Amy shouted at she ran up to him.

Tails quickly pulled her back, "No Amy. You might get shocked yourself."

Amy nodded in agreement. She looked on feeling helpless that her hero was in pain and she couldn't do anything about it. Still in pain, Sonic started slowly walking towards the ledge. Unable to fully control himself, he fell over the edge and screamed on the way down. He hit the ground and passed out. The electricity also disappeared from him.

"SONIC," They all shouted.

FINALLY, sadly this is where the fanfic ends, now to call this a 100% horribad super duper shitstain...is wrong, I'd say it's about 90% shit, because like I said, I liked a few scenes in this because I think it at least tried at a few parts to make the story something of actualy worth than SAHNIC IN BEEOSHOCK, I'd give it a 1.5/5 stars for what it's worth...

Now I need to find you guys a complete fanfic, I'll start searching up some, knowing the sonic community, I'm certain I can find some within the Mobius setting, hell, I might be one of those lucky fellers and find an actually decent one.
