Hey guys, I'm posting from the hospital. Sadly, I forgot to RECORD myself eating my WoW disc Pizza, so there won't be any footage. My innards have been fairly well repaired after a 24 hour long surgery, I'm going to be just fine, but I will never be able to eat again.

Ok so now that my joke is out of the way

Urge to resubscribe to WoW.... rising! This Path of the Titans thing has me really, REALLY intrigued, and it would be rather fun just to see what kind of fucked up things happened in the old world.

PS They totally stole guild leveling from Everquest 2.

Edit: And I just read the FAQ, it seems they are also copying Everquest 2's alternate advancement system, with earning points by doing quests and such, not 1 point every level. Urge to resubscribe.... rising!

Wait, no... maybe not.... they're making stats even more easy mode. The defining point of an RPG, for me, is complex stat management to make MIN/MAXing a fun and challenging experience. It's not going to be fun at all if they're going to remove stats and have just basic STR, STAM, INT, AGI, etc.... sigh, Blizzard, you have to go and do amazing things then casualize the game even further. WHY!?

Blizzard is like Nintendo. They don't care about the hardcores as long as the can keep making cheddar off the casuals.

There's nothing we can do about it so stop complaining, or go find another game to play.

Knowing how to properly gear your character is a skill, yes, especially in a game where 99% of the players constantly ask OTHER PEOPLE what they should be wearing, which is just sad.

Math =/= Fun

Just because stats on items are going to be made simpler, doesn't mean it's going to make the game any easier. Gear has always been pre-determined as "Best for this class, this spec". Lately, it's just been getting flooded with over-complex "stats" that mean absolutely nothing to the average player, who only care about which piece of gear makes them stronger for their role. Even hardcore raiders hardly care much about stats except for the fact of "more of this means I'm better at doing my job". Simple stats just makes it more obvious which thing you need and which you don't.

But Faaauche if it's not extremely hard to figure out it's not good anymore!

They have stuff for casual players and hardcore players. It doesn't have to be an either or thing.

Personally, I think the stats being made easier is better because not only does it make it simple to know what gear you want and need for your class/spec, it brings the game back to the way it was in Vanilla. Since the Burning Crusade, Blizzard has been adding different stats to items to make it more complex, more interesting, have the gear be more dynamic and have more effects. These stats such as armor penetration and resilence only made the game more complex, not fun. They're arbitrary attributes that mean nothing to the average player and only made the game more difficult for no reason at all, even for hardcore players.

People are always complaining about new content and changes in the game. They want to go back to the way WoW was when it first came out. The way I see it, Cataclysm is the closest thing we'll get to that, with Blizzard listening to their fans requests of taking off these arbitrary, meaningless stats from gear (and just because they're not on gear, doesn't mean Blizz is removing them from the game entirely. Talents will have a role to play in the non-gear stats, so there), revamping the old world to make leveling 1-60 new and exciting and better, and while doing that they'll finally allow us to fly in the old world, another major player request.

This is expansion, while progressing the story and the game, really seems to be going in a direction of returning to Vanilla WoW.

They way I see it, Rabid, is that you have a personal dislike for Blizzard as a whole, and whenever something that looks good if coming out from them, you can't handle the conflict in your mind that you might actually like it, so you TRY to find something to complain about, something bad to justify your dislike for it, and resolve your internal conflict of "I don't like them!.... but this looks pretty cool... NO! I DON'T WANT TO LIKE IT!".

Just stop trying to find the faults in the painting and enjoy it as a whole. Pieces of art are never perfect, and if you spend your life picking it appart to find its faults, you'll never be able to truely grasp the entirety of it and really enjoy it like the rest of us.

It also helps to wait to complain about games when it's finished and released to the public.

I'd like to welcome you to the Blizzard fanbase, where every change, every little change, even the best changes.... apparently lead to people quitting :roll: I've learned to just ignore the QQers, it gets difficult sometimes.
