Kind of talky. Where's the Foley? Where's the explosion? What kind of farm simulator doesn't include tractor accidents?

Long time reader, first time poster etc. etc.

I've played most of the HM games in the series and Tale of Two Towns (HM 10) is by far one of the worst of the series. It has poorly written characters, stifling upgrade limits, boring villages, barren mountains, bad progression, minimal farming, and is overall so bland and repetitive that I barely got to the second summer before I quit. For the record, I play most of the games until at least 3 years in before I decide to stop since I've had my fun or continue. I would value the Gameboy Original HM games as better than that heap of trash. Please don't judge the HM series on it.

A New Beginning (HM11) on the 3DS, on the other hand, is one of the best entries in the series since the N64, comparable to Friends of Mineral Town in depth and amount of things to do, although it, as with most recent HMs since the Gamecube days, provides another batch of townsfolk without much personality. Not nonexistent (HM10), mind you, simply less. Please PLEASE at least give HM11 a try before you write the whole series off.

And don't forget to try Rune Factory - 2 or 3 especially. Hell, even Frontiers is great.

EDIT: grammar

Rune Factory 3 is great, and Rune Factory 4 is coming out this summer and from what I've heard, 4 is equally good if not better than 3.

I'd contend that Two Towns was "okay" rather than "one of the worst," but I'm a rather forgiving person and I enjoyed the gimmick a lot.

I will second the New Beginnings comment, though. Trade in Two Towns and grab that, Katie. Much better as a game (think "Harvest Moon meets Dark Cloud, minus the combat" and you'll have a pretty good idea).

Oh my gosh it's Cardbo. I love Yotsuba.

Also, I love the description at the bottom. When she comes to San Japan I will buy her a ten gallon hat.
