Tactics in this game are pretty much 70% knowing when and where to wall.

God I'm bad at this game
I'm pretty sure all of my units have died at least once (lol Casual mode 'cause I suck)
So why do I keep playing it

Oh, right, because it's awesome.

Today's Ricken's birthday, make sure to collect your sweet loot.

I always had a problem with Ricken. He would always get bad level growths, and any romance plotline with him is just... awkward.

I dunno, I think the one he has with Panne is kinda cute. I haven't actually gotten his and Tharja's S-rank support yet, but their C, B, and A supports are sort of cute.

It's mostly the fact that his future kid is as old as, or older, than he is. It's not the relationship with the wife that's the problem.

You could argue that he looks younger than he actually is, but Ricken acts pretty young in his supports with Gregor, so it just gets weird.

Alright, this has been super bothering me for a day or two now. And I don't know if this is spoilerish or not so I'll put it in spoilers anyway.

But I was wondering. Does anyone else think Grima sort of looks like a giant six-winged hummingbird? With a big ol' Gut?

Is it just me? Does anyone else see it? Especially in the concept art.

I'd chip in on the current conversation, but I got nothing to say about Ricken. He was the only character in my game that was killed that I didn't reset on because I did not want to play that level again. Not to mention his english voice actor, Yuri Lowenthal, has always rubbed me the wrong way for some reason.

I can sort of see your thoughts about Grima. It might be because he doesn't have any feet. I did think he looked odd, but not... hummingbird. That's a cool image though.

I understand Yuri Lowenthal voicing lots of different characters. Guy's gotta' eat. My only problem is that 90% of them sound the same, meaning every character he voices (save a few odd ones out) immediately reminds me of his more iconic roles.

Most people immediately go "Yosuke from Persona 4" but my immediate reaction is "Ben 10." So it's a little weird.

Oh my god, he was Ben 10. Now I can never unhear that.

I always associated Ricken with Professor Layton since his voice actor also did two major characters in two different games (Future Luke in Unwound Future and Randall in Miracle Mask).

Ricken, Donnel and Gregor are characters I pretty much never use. Something about them just rubs me the wrong way. It's definitely the accent for Donnel, combined with him using a pot as a helmet.

I think the pot's kind of hilarious. Plus he gets 30 levels as a villager, plus another 20 as whatever you promote him to.

I don't ever use Nowi, Tharja, Gregor, Miriel, or Maribelle. Mostly because they kind of fell behind. Maribelle, though... she's just such a bitch.

I can definitely see where you guys are coming from with some of those characters. A lot of them I only ever used to get support conversations, because I love support conversations and I've spent dozens of hours grinding specifically so I can see more of them.

While I don't ever really use Maribelle because she's not really all that strong, she has definitely grown on me character-wise. I can say the same for Nowi, and maybe even Donnel, too. Maribelle, though, is sort of one of those characters you really do get an obnoxious vibe from, but after seeing her interact with some of the others, Vaike and Frederick in particular, I started to kind of like her. Not to mention her kid is fantastic in just about every way.

Your aversion to Gregor, though, just confuses me. I love Gregor.

Oh no, I fucking love Gregor. I just don't use him because he fell behind (aka I'm too lazy to catch him up).
