I paired Stahl with Nowi just because this comic suggested it.

She's a thousand years old and no one bashed Myrrh, Fa or Tiki for it, why should any of you start now?

Hey guess what, this is a comic - If Katie decides to bash on one Manakete and not another, if indeed this can be called bashing, that's up to her, and anyone else who writes/comes up with ideas/etc oh look a dinosaur.

The difference between those and Nowi is that they are dressed more or less sensibly. That is the "why" you are looking for. Not dragon racism as you seem to be implying.
