okay now justify it being as quick, easy, efficient, spammable, and as powerful as it currently is and why the pyro needs it on top of all the other stuff he gets

Because the Pyro has little other stuff.

And it's only those things in the right hands.
It's anything but spamable.

because the "all the other stuff" he has is a shitty secondary and a melee that contains mostly gimmick items?
the flamethrower removes all ability to attack at long range, but allows the pyro to protect himself somewhat from people who can.

the pyro is the farthest daisies class from overpowered

he's one of the two who is actually balanced in a meaningful way, and those two classes are also the ones that, once someone has mastered them, is able to murder anyone who is less skilled

he's disliked because a good pyro uses everything to his advantage, because the pyro alone has almost none
and then people who rely on an advantage get rustled about it

the other class that's almost perfect, and everyone hates for it, is demoman
