because on one hand holy crap didn't they say no more updates like ever
and on the other hand haven't i been seriously holding a grudge because they said that

i bought the game because they promised several consistant updates over a long period of time

they then went back on that

it's not a "meaningless grudge", it's being legitimately and righteously angry for a developer flat out lying.

Redigit stopped updating because he had a Kid, and he wanted to focus more on him than just the game.

I was a bit dissapointed, but I learned to live with it.

On that note, plans need to be made for a server when 1.2 comes out.

Eh, I'm not super hyped, but not because of a grudge for not having updates, but because I just didn't find Terraria that fun after a while.

It's pretty simple IMO: if you have fun playing the game, play it, if not, who cares.

I'll wait for more details though, could be interesting and it'd at least be worth making a new file just to check out the new content.

We've beaten the wall of flesh but not the tougher bosses yet. I'm actually really content just domesticating my world. Like I dug full tunnels down to the hell layer to prevent corruption and hallow spreading all the way. Then I'm smoothing every tunnel I ever dug and covering it with grey brick. When I come across corruption I either dig it away or purify it. Mostly both.

If I break any more demon alters, even if corruption/hallow is spawned it wont really have anywhere to go.

Actually I've heard that it also had to do with him throwing a tantrum over his main artist guy leaving to work on Starbound, and seeing as he reacted the same way when people complained that the new reveal was just a console port (he refused to port to PC the console version's ned additions) and when someone told him the game was too easy (he added potion cooldown and other things) it doesn't sound too far from reality

that shit was crazy, man. I was horribly underequipped for that.
(though I did steal some molten armor and hellstone brick, so that's something)

Wow, to save on the clean up of that kinda mess we usually build an arena of some sort to fight bosses.

Like for the WOF we leveled hell out flat and made a straight road from the end of the screen.

I never had any trouble with destroyer, if you had the right items you can bodaciously outdamage it.

Eh, I kinda stopped playing after I unlocked hardmode just because I really feel like I need to contain the corruption/hallow, but am too lazy to build walls to stop it.

Yeah, to anyone else that is insanely boring. But I have a void in my life that can only be filled by landscaping.
